Movin' Right Along
« on: December 22, 2017, 09:42:31 PM »
Greetings and sincerest holiday wishes to all who might
 remember Elvira and me...

It's been a journey for sure, and we've grown close and
comfortable in our 15 years together. I guess it
was about a decade ago when our pace of work and
activities led me away from here, and honestly I
had no more advice to give nor did I feel the need
to seek any either.
Our 3 daughters are now grown, all are approaching
their 30s. We return to Russia every so often mainly
to gather with family members, to whom I've grown
close. Our most recent visit was in July and August,
with good times spent with in-laws and cousins at a
Lakeside dacha that Elvira's sister built, and touring
a few cities and forts in Mari El and Kazan.

I've enjoyed staying in touch with a few of you, and
wish everyone a peaceful and Merry Christmas.

Vaughn, a lot of guys get busy after marriage but don't fool yourself, you have more to offer when it comes to advice now than before.....unless you picked up Alzheimer's. Thanks for taking the time to come back and say hello and Merry Christmas!

WOW Vaughn, I had actually forgotten you.  So good to see you back.

I still remember way back at beginning when spouse to be called you VAH-GUN.
A beautiful woman is pleasant to look at, but it is easier to live with a pleasant acting one.

Hey Vaughn,

Long time.....no see. Time flies. Did you meet your wife in Yoshkar-Ola?  Did you ever use Maksim's agency? I may be thinking of someone else.......but I do remember....you.

CaptB, yeah, Yoshkar Ola, but no connection
to Maksim. I did meet the man in 2006 less
than a year before he passed away, and to this
day I remain friends with Fyodor, his former
operations manager/translator.

ML, sharp memory you've got there. She still
pronounces my name that way.

Open question: whatever became of the guy who
sailed the world with his RW ? I believe his handle
was TigerPaws.
