Brian, You tihnk you have problems with your name, look up Scott (скот) in your Russian-English dictionary.  I'm sure the ladies would have fun making some derivatives from that.  This is my middle name but I went by it all my life until I moved to Ukraine.  Upon learning its meaning in Russian, I prompltly started using my first name there.

I seem to remember also that when we begin a sentence in English with 'Who he....' the Russian's fall about laughing.....

Anastassia is one of my favorite Russian feminine name.  That name has so many different really cool derivatives.  Nothing about you, lovely Miss Ash...    I just like the name.  If I had a daughter, I'd have that name for her.           

 

Brian, i like my name too, but if i have a daughter i would call her Anya, Anyiuta, Anechka. 
Anastassia is an old Russian name, what comes in mind is Princess Anastassia of course, and for us Russians it reminds of Nast'enka from the cartoon "Alenkiy Tsvetochek" - "A Tale of a Crymson Flower" which is kind of like Beauty and the Beast here.
