Title: Scams to watch out for
Post by: Omega82 on March 16, 2019, 10:52:32 AM
So what are scams to currently watch out for?

There's an old Spanish song that talks about a woman with black stockings who came to his apartment, spent a wonderful night and in the morning he was missing his wallet and watch but he still missed her.....

I read somewhere it is less likely to get scammed in Belarus because of the tight government restrictions.  Any thoughts?

NOTE: I haven't been to Belarus, but my opinion is as follows:

The Belorussian government is as corrupt and riddled with graft and fraud as
anywhere else in the FSU. The tight government restrictions are so that they
can make sure they get their share.

There isn't one place significantly better or worse than another. My advice is to
spread a broad net and when you find a good girl who looks like a good match
you go visit her wherever she is.

. . . when you find a good girl who looks like a good match you go visit her wherever she is.

Provided her Parole hearing date is not too distant.

You should also make sure that the gender reassignment surgery was completely
finished. You don't want to find a big surprise during your first hug.

I would say the average standard of living in Belarus is better than Ukraine.  There are definetly scammer women in both countries as there are in the UK too.  More dark brunets in Ukraine and more light brunets in Belarus.

Then most of the scammers are brunets?
Couldn't they just change their hair color to throw us off guard?

a fools errand to enumerate all possible scams in Ukraine
using such a list as a guide
only ensures it'll be the unlisted one that gets you

best way to avoid scammers is stay away from scammer feeding sites like agencies and social media and go in person
I just don't understand why you guys don't do this
it's so Vini Vidi Vicci, if you know what I mean
fortune favors the bold, hence explore
someone like me who once made a life plundering Ukrainian villages for females
still dreams of distant villages unseen by western eyes in the remotest parts of the FSU
where young sinewy barefoot peasant girls toil away in tattered clothing in the hot sun
but you boyz is probably busy playing Far Cry and watching X Files reruns
so I'll say no more...
I hear through the "grapevine" that Bee Farmer did in fact buy his right hand a mink glove for valentine's day
I hope my wife doesn't find out, cuz she'll ask me where hers is...
if she does make this specific inquiry, my response will be, "if you provided the same amount of service to me that Bee Farmer's right hand provided to him, I'd have bought you 10 mink coats, now make me a sandwich damn it!!!
no.. no, it wouldn't just keeding...

Watch out for the "fancy dress scam".  As your wedding day approaches she will demand a fancy white dress and of course your new overalls will never do so you will require new clothes also. Avoid all this nonsense by suggesting all natural Adam & Eve style wedding in nudist area. Your bride will be impressed by your ingenuity and thriftiness.

You are incorrect. Although Belarus is a government run by a dictator, it is in no way as corrupt as Ukraine or Russia for that matter. Lukashenko keeps a very tight grasp on his govt spending. I have been to Belarus and the police and other govt officials have to tread very carefully when it come to soliciting a bribe for fear of going to prison. No one steals unless Luka authorizes it!

The streets and roads in Belarus are in much, much better shape than even some of the major cities/states in the US.

As to scams, you will find scams of all kinds in any country. You just have to use the wits god gave you.....

If you want to say that Belarus is slightly less corrupt than Russia or Ukraine
that's fine but they are totally corrupt by Western Standards. They have reduced
Petty corruption according to the first link below.

Russia has or had a restriction on European vegetables, milk products and
other things. So Belarus imports them, relabels them and sends it to Russia.
There was a potash disagreement with Russia so they picked up the company
CEO and threw him in jail.

Everyone who opposed Lukashenko in the last election were jailed.

I could list a hundred other examples easily.

Watch out for the "fancy dress scam".  As your wedding day approaches she will demand a fancy white dress

These scams are all interrelated, and the scammers work together. As an example, the fancy dress purchased will be sewn from the extra filet o fish wrappers from the extra sandwich McDonalds scam that ML fell victim to
If this wasn't an open forum, I would give details of the new condom break scam. But as a warning I can say, don't buy your date the extra value McNuggets
