What do you guys reckon on this new dating app? I saw it being advertised on You Tube band downloaded it to my mobile. It seems a great idea to me that could solve the problem of when a girl really eyes you up but you don't know what to say or approach as she's a perfect stranger.
It basically works on you allowing to track your movements like a contact tracing app for the virus which is probably where the idea came from. It the shows you a photo of the girl and vice versa so long as she is also on Happn, you can then contact her or vice versa as you please. It's at this point that you need to sign up for the payment plan but until then it's all free. I am using it free and just leave in running in the background on my mobile. I will only use it if I see a girl I really like eye me up in a definate way not just a passing smile/look to be friendly.
So many times before of course like when Match etc got going that online stuff that seemed to be the answer to dating woes turned out anything but. I am optimistic with this one though. It does show you people that passed nearby that you've not actually seen and vice versa so it does stand the issue of being used tinder like based in a pretty photo but it would still in addition show those where you've actually seen each other so long as they are on the app and so assumingly both single which I see as the big plus point here.
This app on the surface sounds like it's something I wished I had long ago, I might be getting on a bit now to really make use of it. I think there might be interesting spin offs to how it works. A couple might for instance find each other using it and be left embarrassed. It may lead to a lot off hook up culture, flings behind partners backs, insincere people and maybe a lot more relationships and hence population boom. Potentially though I reckon such an app could do a lot of good getting people together in good relationships. Thoughts?
