Russian women say the darndest things...
« on: September 27, 2016, 08:11:29 AM »
The other night we went out to dinner with another couple we are good friends with. Our friends invited a third couple along who just started dating. We had never met the third couple before but they seemed pretty nice. The third guy is dressed up in a suit and looking pretty sharp. Turns out he is an attorney at a large law firm downtown. Also heavily involved in local politics holding some position. His date appears to be happy with her catch.

So here we are at dinner and the gentleman we have never met mentions he has a small role in a television series. A locally filmed show he informs us. Everyone at the table smiles and congratulates him. My wife turns to look at him and says.

"I can see that. You look like an actor from the show Star Trek!"

He did have unusual looking ears so maybe another character, but just not something an American would blurt out at dinner.  :)

I can't imagine my UW ever saying anything like that.

But I probably would !!
A beautiful woman is pleasant to look at, but it is easier to live with a pleasant acting one.

The first months that she was here in this country...
We went w/this couple to a Texas honky-tonk [The Lone Star Bar]
The band rocked.
After a number, the singer stated 'all right, we want everybody to have a f**king good time'!
So she asked [as I put my hand to my forehead] what is it 'f**king'?
I explained as best as I could, that this word has several different meanings.....and yadda yadda WTF
~There is no one more blind than those who refuse to see and none more deaf as those who will not listen~
~Think about the intelligence of the average person and then realize that half of the people are even more stupid than that~
