Trench,
Please keep me posted on the Elana's Models program, and if it is working out for you.  I have an EM account, but it is still the free account and I have not upgraded to gold with my credit card because I was still working other sources.  I am interested to find out how your EM contacts work out for you.  Thanks.

That said, the tours look fun, dream connections ones look at little pricey for me, a bit more classy looking, though wonder if escorts have been hired to entertain sort of thing.

Escorts, gold diggers and pro daters have all been found on those tours. They may no be paid but the benefits can be huge for them. At the end of the day, they will have guys buy them $400 shoes and take them to 5 star restaurants and if they're lucky, they won't have to open their legs in return.

Bad girls tend to be the most aggressive when pursuing men on tours since there are few men to claim compared to the amount of women that show up. The good quiet girls tend to get neglected. They sit in a corner with nobody to talk to and sometimes they leave crying since the men they came to meet think with their little heads.
Fund the audits, spread the word and educate people, write your politicians and other elected officials. Stay active in the fight to save our country. Over 220 generals and admirals say we are in a fight for our survival like no other time since 1776.

Hi all, long time lurker here. Though it was about time I crawled out of the woodwork and started to contribute.

I’ve always been a firm believer that if you’re getting no results and keep doing the same things, then you’ll keep getting the same outcomes. Some yield better results than others but I think a varied approach can make sense. I haven’t tried a group tour and I personally do not feel it’s the right approach for me. This is based on the demographic of the lady I’m searching for, the restricted/pressured nature of it and not being so flexible in my travel dates, and has some here have mentioned the intentions of some of the ladies will inevitably be less than honourable.

However, I can certainly see how the would be useful for first time travellers to FSU. I watched the videos on the AFA and Quest tours and was amazed at how many of the American guys on there were leaving the USA for the first time.
I have tried a variety of methods. I have used Ukrainedate/Mamba in Kiev, Agencies in Odessa and Mila in Kharkov.  When I reflect on those trips, I can’t really complain about the ladies I was able to meet through any of the methods; I simply didn’t meet the one I was looking for (yet) but I can’t directly attribute that to the method used.

I like Odessa a lot as a city, but I do lean towards the general consensus here that there are more genuine women in other cities. However, when it boils down to it we are all only looking for one, and she could come from any city in reality.
After each visit I tend to make some tweaks, but they are more to do with what I’m looking for rather than the method used to find ‘”it”. i.e, age, whether I’m prepared to compromise on some values such as language level, if she has children, height, etc or whether some things with hindsight are deal breakers. I am looking to plan my next trip soon and may vary the criteria or the methods too, or change to somewhere a little more obscure.

When you get home you will surely have regrets and revisit whether you wrote someone off to early.  You’ll try to justify red flags, consider compromising things that in reality you shouldn’t and wish you didn’t have to come home whilst your brain is still scrambled. The main thing is getting on a plane and going, as the experienced guys here will always reiterate. There’s simply no substitute for it.

GuppyCaptain – let us know how things go with Mordinson. If I go back to Kharkov, I’ve thought about trying him out as well as Diolli, and of course Mila who has been great to me and supplement this with the usual websites.

On a separate note, if someone knows a good city in Ukraine (or FSU) to follow Euro 2016 during the summer, I’m open to suggestions!

Good post Tom. A lot of what you wrote struck home with me and I could relate. Maybe we can trade notes after this trip is over as using Mila will or probably be next for me. My next trip will be in May as every other month I'm dedicating time to make a two week trip in search of The One.

Welcome to the forum lyndontom. One of the biggest mistakes a man can make is to blame someone else for his lack of success. The first person to blame is himself. Sure he may have a habit of choosing bad agencies, stick with the same ole routine, or limit his options to succeed for no apparent good reason but he should improve wisdom and intelligence instead of blaming the agencies and dating sites he uses. He should also improve his hygiene, body, manners, and social skills with the ladies. Once a guy becomes appealing to women, he will have lots of options and women he thought weren't interested in would will behave differently toward a more improved "him".

+1.

Completely agree. After my first visit to Odessa, I had to do some serious self-reflection. What I really wanted, and irrespective of whether I was interested in particular ladies, whether I had done what I had to in order to make the right impression. I felt bad for some of the ladies I wasn't interested in because I wasn't attracted to them, but had seemed like great women.

You never know if the next one around the corner will be the "one", at least in your eyes and it would be a shame if the feeling was not reciprocated. Lets be honest, it is also easy to get carried away like the kid in a candy store by going on dates with beautiful woman after beautiful woman. Thats where Mila can be a great asset in fairness; she is honest and will give you pointers where she feels you need it and if things do escalate to a second date then you can bet she'll make sure you're on form. If you're honest with yourself and able to be a balanced self-critic, its always a help to improve in the future.

I know people on here have said they have met people of VK, Mamba, but for me I wanted a more specifically dating site with people that are committed to serious dating scene upfront.

Mamba has FAR more FSU members on an actual dating site than EM - which is a shadow of it's former self..IMHO you are incorrect in your conclusion and aren't marketing yourself to the widest audience.

That said, the tours look fun, dream connections ones look at little pricey for me, a bit more classy looking, though wonder if escorts have been hired to entertain sort of thing. AFA tours look decent enough, I'm young enough to be seen as a prospect by the girls there and not just an old codger to fool around with for the evening, but anything can happen.

These tours are for mugs.... 'wise up'.. the serious lasses wouldn't be seen dead at one. Too tacky

For now though, the girl I'm going to meet looks spot on, perfect from my skype sessions with her so I'm hoping it works out when meeting her in person, it looking promising :)

Good luck

OK, I was probably asking for that one... ;D  But what I was getting at more so than anything is the habit to look beyond red flags or to try and convince ourselves that things "can work" - if she has the looks but there is no real connection, for example. I've had to convince myself to be a little more ruthless at times because anything else is just an inevitable waste of another trip and the majority of us can only make journeys at certain times for a finite period of time.

Has anyone used the services of Diolli? I am not trying to promote them, I ask because I've only recently stumbled upon them and despite their numerous worldwide awards I had never heard of them. However, having Skyped Svetlana there and watched some of their Youtube videos, I am impressed with the apparent level of professionalism. Maybe there is more stigma attached to a "matchmaking" agency? I have always been quite comfortable going it my way, but it could be an interesting Plan B.
