What I tell people who ask why a FSUW?
« on: January 20, 2015, 03:50:53 PM »
I am more than a little tired of the question so I have it all boiled down now to one answer.

"These women put the seat up when they are done in the bathroom."

It usually either silences them or makes them laugh.

Marry a quality woman and the question will change to "How do I get one of those fine women?"

You should tell them: there are a lot who are destitute and don't understand English so they don't bitch at you.

That will get their attention.

Rather than the lid down :-\? This opens up interesting new insights into toilet ergonomics/physics/chemistry and similarly related subjects :D.

My usual reply is: "Why not?" It's a big world out there, filled with beautiful women. To limit your romantic options domestically is an exercise in stupidity.

Married 3 years now, with a 2 year old son. Wife is from Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.

Yeah, and that they only know how to cook tasty meals but, as evidenced by their figures, they don't eat that much.

Who is it that you're hanging around that keeps asking you this question? I had that question mostly from acquaintances and only a couple of friends maybe 6-8 times early on before she arrived. Virtually none since

If it's a woman asking, my answer is usually  "They wait on you hand and foot, cook delicious meals, keep the house spotless, have nice figures and don't bitch at their husbands."  Generally there are no follow up questions, unless it's "What's wrong with American women?"      ;D

I have seen some toilets in Russia and Ukraine with no seat at all. You just have to sit on the bare bowl!

On the toilets with seats, most don't have a lid.

My wife a daughter use one of our bathrooms. They were not used to having a lid and did not cover the toilet with the lid. One day, they were plunging the toilet and having problems with it pluging up. Finally, I removed the toilet and took it outside to see what was wrong. A small plastic bottle of pills or something was caught in the trap. I was able to use a coat hanger to remove the bottle.

After that, they started putting the lid down.

I don't think anyone has ever asked me "Why a FSUW?"

You must have been in the high class district.  Most public restrooms don't even have a toilet, just  hole in the floor or a porcelain fixture flush with the floor.   :D
It does cause one to learn to balance while squatting.

At the Moscow Lenningradsky train station. Hole in the floor, no toilet paper, no hook for winter coat and bag and urine actually flowing past my feet. And then a mouse running back and forth around these same feet. While I am trying to balance plus not let any of my clothes touch this wet floor.

And for all this I had to pay a lady to gain entrance.

How did you wipe? I usually carry some napkins in my pocket just in case I have to use public bathrooms in the FSU.

I have been there enough now to know to always bring small roll of TP plus even some wet wipes. But don't ask me if my #2 always hits the whole in the floor  8)

The uncomfortable balancing act while squatting is bad enough, but what takes the cake is seeing someone read the newspaper while squatting.     :D

A lot of the public toilet rooms are not seperated by sex. There is usually an old woman collecting coins and handing out a few sheet of toilet paper. You are lucky if there is a sink.

The other thing that seems strange to me is having the clothes washer in the bath room in a flat.

I suspect it is because there were not washing machines when the flats were originally built and it is the easiest place to do a retrofit due to the plumbing availability.

I obviously visited the wrong railway stations - I didn't see ANY squat toilets in Moscow (only in Sochi).

What am I to take away from this?

I should tell people I like these women for their ability to balance while they go to the bathroom?

Doll, this was supposed to be a joke of a thread.

I figured I would get some responses like:

She uses the remote to flip through the channels for me.

She refuses to allow me to ask for directions.

Mostly the people that ask me this are women who have a wonderful friend that just can't seem to find a nice guy.

And for the most part, what I like about the women that I have gotten to know.  They tell me what they think.  Doll, I may not agree with you, but I admire you being honest about what you think.  It is my most sincere belief that most women will tell you what they think you want to hear.

Then why not just be truthful yourself and tell them that?
