Hi all,

JB and I have been friends for many years (even convinced him to "finally" propose to his wonderful wife and attended their wedding in Moscow (many) years ago. I just talked to him last week. He gets tired of wading through alot bs and useless post to find the "few" who are willing to be helped. I hav'nt been here for some months myself.......and probaly for similar reasons. I hate to sound like a "geezer" here......but back on the old RWG......there were only a few hundred mostly "serious" folks gathering together for a common purpose. No polls about "Do you prefer butts....or boobs ?".........."Is breast size important ?"..........."I am 77 years old......will an 18 love me for who I am ?".........etc.....etc.....etc..... There are the know-it alls who have spent $10,000 US......and never met an FSU woman yet.......or set foot on foreign soil. JB is a crusty old fart......I have always reprimanded him for maybe getting a little too personal (even if the receiver of his wrath......more than likely was deserving). I don't blame Dan for giving him the boot.......you have to behave.......at least to "some" degree......to maintain order on a forum. When I do (occaisionally) come back.......it is with a sense of obligation to "pay back" and help....as I was helped many years ago. Now there are thousands of members.....with a much, much greater proportion of "wannabees".........and kids living Mom and Dads basement........and the just plain "clueless". I see......after doing alot of digging........that there may be about as many of the "serious" left......as on the old RWG board.......that was much...much......smaller. I don't have all the answers.......but I do have a good marriage.....and some experience. I will always be poking around for anyone looking for a little help. Maybe when the wife and I go down to Corpus to visit JB & Etna this Fall.......I am sure I can coax him with a little cognac......and a good cigar.......to make an appearence.......or seven........back on the board. He is probably fishing with his wife on the Bay.......a much more worthwhile endeavor......than attacking some hapless....clueless........."basement liver".  ;D

Capt!!!!!
I was thinking of you when I heard there were fires near Grayling.  Hope all is OK with you.  (Flipping back and forth between Tigers and Pistons game as I type this)  Just FYI, jb was not banned by Dan.  jb's exile is self imposed.  I (like anyone with any sense) miss his posts here.

Ken,

Yes ............I was aware that his status was "self-inflicted". They have the fires under control in Grayling.......about 1100 acres lost. Small potatoes compared to fires in the UP in the late 90's.

jb is gone?

I must point out that if we are talking about the jb I exchanged words with, its
not JB, it's jb. He pointed that out to me one day. I don't pop in enough to know
if someone is gone or not, but jb always had interesting thoughts.

I respect the way that long-timers in this area have stuck around to offer their
advice. Kenc is the other guy that's been around a while. I have been in total
disagreements with both of them, but, I think either them or me have calmed
a bit. Of course, I normally enjoy seeing a post from either one of them that I
disagree with to make a challenge. They are both experienced in this endeavor
and have good advice. I would hope that jb would not stay away as he takes
the time to help people who are asking for advice. Kenc does the same.
