Nice Christmas Present

I hadn't seen my lovely wife in over 2 months so it was a good feeling to touch down in Kiev on the 5th of January. We had a very nice Christmas eve with her family and it wasn't until Christmas morning (the 7th) that I got around to hooking up my internet connection and checking my mail. Scanning my in box I saw 2 emails from the USCIS; 2 short notes saying they had approved my 129F and I130.

It's not often you get a Christmas present from the US government but that was sweet. Needless to say we had a nice Christmas.

For anyone else waiting that was just under 5 months from NOA1 to NOA2.

I got a letter from the State Dept a week later saying the paperwork was on it's way to the Embassy.

All in all a nice way to start the year

I think most married guys will always remember where they were the exact moment they got news of their NAO2. Sort of like for the previous generation where everyone remembered where they were and what they were doing the moment they got news of JFK's assassination. Only happier, I hope

Marina and I got married in Las Vegas and I drove her out to your neck of the woods and she just fell in love with the Grand Canyon.

Excellent News Brianinaz! Congratulations to you both!

We just got our son's 10 year card in the mail a week ago. A bit over 4 years since his arrival. Nice to be done with those (*@&#)$(*^)&%^)(%(*&_^)(@# lovely USCIS folks for awhile.
