Before jumping in, you might want to ask yourself if you are really ready.
Knowing Indian culture, is your family informed of your wish to marry a foreign girl, and are they agreed with it? Russian women are unlikely to agree on there being another wife.
Do you have the money and income for frequent travel? This will not work unless you can travel to the FSU, and not just once.

If you want to settle down in Russia, have you started to learn the language? As for a job, English teacher might be possible as you already are a teacher.

The real thing is that you need to prepare. A girl would not wish to invite someone to her home who has no language skills and no job.

If you want to live in Russia, yes. If you want to stay in India with a Russian wife, ability to communicate directly with her and her family would be a good thing. While the number of English speakers in Russia is increasing, there are still not many people who can hold a conversation.

You should be realistic about your plan. An independent and educated girl is not very likely to move to India to live with a stranger . You don't have the irresistible allure of a filthy rich westerner who is about to kick the bucket


Try moving to Russia, live and date their for a while. Then you will have a good chance, and with a good person I must add.

If you want to settle in Russia, the best way is to find a job first, work for a couple of years, study the language, and meet people. Make friends first, not only with woman. After that you can search for a wife.
And, don't forget about the climate it can be really cold in here ))

Taikka gives really, really good advice. I can tell you from a lot of experience that the fastest way to get a good wife is to take your time and prepare yourself for it. Pick the wrong woman means you will have to start all over again. You will lose years of your life and many thousands of dollars and it won't be any fun. If you take your time as Taikka says by establishing yourself first you will be much more likely to have long term success.

What do the ladies say about you? Do you have lots of ladies chasing you in India? If they are not chasing you in India, they certainly won't chase you in Russia.

In my experience, finding a Russian wife is a long, expensive, complicated process, full of ups and downs.  You will need a lot of money, time, maturity, life experience, and emotional fortitude to do so.

I am living in Russia now. The beer is good, women are beautiful, nobody speaks English, and Russian language ain't easy to learn.

There are a lot of nice, sincere, and very beautiful girls who genuinely want to find a husband because they have slim pickings over here. But a lot of them just want to leave the country because it is too cold, not too many jobs, and well life just kinda sucks here. Hopefully you can find one who actually loves you. Women here do take an interest in foreign men. I don't look Russian and I get a lot of attention.

Then there are the cultural differences, which are significant.  If you are Indian, I would recommend trying to meet Russian girls who live in Asian countries like Uzbekistan, Krygistan, etc, as they would understand your culture better, and are less likely to scam you.

You should start meeting some gals online and video chatting with them. Only ones who speak English and don't go through agencies. Then take a trip to FSU and meet some in person.
