We stayed in Chicago for a couple of days sight seeing and had a great time.  We both flew in from Ukraine to Chicago and the jet lag wasn't that bad.  Now, flying from East coast to Australia was a major headache when it came to jet lag.

Anotherkiwi, I understood it. Yet I do know how it feels after the flight like this. You're tired, you're stressed, you just want to rest and come to senses.
The first 2-3 weeks you're on a jet lag.
The best thing is to go "home".

I know what you mean, but I'm one of those lucky people who doesn't suffer from jet lag on long trips.  I've only ever had (slight) problems when returning from Australia,  :o but not going across the Pacific to or from Asia or North America, and on to London or Moscow.

My wife and stepson entered in Miami.  We then spent a few days with a friend near Key West.

I would do the same again because going to her new "home" is not rest.   She went into the cleaning mode upon arrival even though her daughter and I had the place looking great IMO.

In any event, you should be able to fly to far eastern Russia or even Alaska with no time zone jet lag.  Check out them there Eskimo wimin.

That's what I indicated upstream.  Some people will clean items and places, no matter how clean they already are.  I do it for eating items, but don't clean floors, windows, etc., if they look ok.

In Russia?  8)

Even Vladivostok is three hours behind New Zealand, and I can't really see myself chasing someone who lives beside the Bering Strait!

The tattoos and bone piercings don't rev your motor?

No.

Tattoos for me are a total turnoff, no matter how well they have been executed or how good they look.
