Billy, if you look at my handle you will notice that I am a recruiter. I hire tech talent for a living. The Eastern Euros are hotter than nine yards of hell in my industry right now.

I am actually meeting several developers (and maybe one member from the other forum) for this exact purpose while in town.

You'll be in a city full of beautiful woman and you'll be working? If you do end up meeting some other girl, it's still best to tell her you came to the city to find love but didn't find it. Telling her you're there on business might give her the impression you temporarily want her on the side for pleasure. Telling her you came to Odessa looking for a serious relationship tells her you're looking for a serious relationship.

Why not ?  Rw is not alone in this .. I've read quite a few members post that trips to Ukraine were also work related .... mine certainly were - as it was  a great place to get RU/ EU citizens not needing visa together for meetings .. I say was because of the respective flight bans ..

Try booking a flight to UA from RU or vice versa ...

I make around 10% of someones yearly salary by placing a candidate. Hard to ignore a chance if there is someone talented I run across. You may be correct with the backstory though. Women are romantics and may not believe the truth anyways.

Not doubting you - but that is the exception - not the rule

I just tried to book from any Moscow airport to KBP ( Kyiv) and the average flt time is 4 hours ...  I could host meetings that meant day trips, before.

Edited to add flts are 4 times the cost. One cannot fly direct due to bans of direct flights between UA and RU and RU and UA

Your link shows only next day flights available, I had return at $187 usd. Both flights ~3hr.


I agree the 1 hour flights were much nicer.
