I've only been married for 6 years. Very few changes

This is another of those question that are so subjective that even if you get 1,000+ responses it really won't get you any type of assurance you'll arrive to an intended destination.

Better exercise introspection instead and understand (as much as possible) many of the challenges you will be facing when you marry someone from a different culture.

After 16 years, my wife changed many aspects of myself. She had also influenced many of my pre-conceived outlook and beliefs - and all for the better of me. My wife in turn, had matured throughout her transition from being an immigrant to a US citizen, which at times challenged her nationalistic tendency. Lastly, all the expected natural transformation from being a young Siberian university student to an accomplished Russian-American professional.

My wife is still the same basic person. The only difference is that now she knows how the system and society works (for the most part) and has adapted to it. She has been working full time since about 2 years after she got here so she's fully functional and could live without me if she had to. BTW our 21st anniversary is this Saturday.

My 10th year anniversary is coming up this year. Married my wife when she was 19 yo so see her grow. When she first got here, she thought Obama was a cool president but I knew from her beliefs she was conservative. I don't talk to her a lot about politics but on her own, she learned to like Trump's policies and says Obama's policies are bad. She's a proud Ukrainian and loves America from the beginning to now so no changes there. I feel she loves me more now than in the beginning which is the way things should be in a marriage. Bottom line is if you marry a good person who's world views align with yours, everything is going to be alright.

my wife when I met her 20 yr ago
vrs my wife 2 yr ago

a 6' 1" farm girl
who walked everywhere
she was as "tight" as a brick shithouse, had a real muscular lean body
first DDs I EVER touched in my LIFE
I was in HEAVEN!!!

not ONLY does she do ALL the wildest, kinkiest sex EVER...
but she also saves me a bundle compared to what I used to spend on a cleaning service back when I was single
as well as cooking, etc
which my daughters also supply substantial help (pic of oldest daughter's first pizza maybe 10 yr ago, she is getting married in October in Moscow)

I get to eat breakfast on the back porch in freshly starched clothes each morning like a country gentleman
served coffee and breakfast by beautiful smiling women while I read the news on my wireless laptop
and watch the animals

it's a "Man's Life"
here in Southern Texas

I do not think she has changed..

My current RU wife is as set in her ways and part of the attraction is that determination

I've only been married for 6 years. Very few changes

I suspect if I married a 25 year old girl the changes would have been
far more drastic. My wife was 38 when I met her and will soon to be
46.

We made a baby that caused changes in our lifestyles. Now we drag
a boy around where ever we go.

My wife didn't change she is the same girl that I fell in love with
and she loves, loves, loves, loves me. None of the important stuff
has changed.

I have been living full time with my UW for 9 years.

She has changed in several aspects . . . and not for the better.

But still . . . she is the best I could probably find.
A beautiful woman is pleasant to look at, but it is easier to live with a pleasant acting one.

My wife is still the same.......after 17 years.......but really has embraced America. She knows most of the ins and outs. One annoying thing: American astronauts never landed on the moon !!!!!!!!!!!!! I counter with the (fact ?) that Yuri Gargarin was the second cosmonaut in space. Supposedly another
Russian cosmonaut went into space "first".......but crash landed.......and has been kept secret by the Russians :)  Yuri Gargarin is a personal hero of mine.....since age 7. First man in space !!!!! Russia....USA.....what are they to a seven y.o. boy. Garagin had his troubles later in life.......but he was the first man in space..............

Married about 9 years.
My wife is as awesome as tge say I met her.
She is big on self improvement and strives towards this.
I'd say she is now a better version of  of herself thru life experiences, motherhood, and the attitude of introspection and study to continually improve.
As far as culture she always embraced the west, nothing has changed.

Your question will have as many
Answers are there are individuals though.

I know immigrants that have flourished here, and others that snd miserable after 20 years still are very negative as they were their first week.
So no change can be as big of hurdle case dependent

I would like to ask a question of the guys who have been married for a while,10 plus years, how different is your wife today from the person you met and married?

Most Western women (maybe 95%) have cut their hair by age 46
into a lesbian style. Maybe 1% of Western women have hair that
is long enough to reach their bra strap line.

My wife's hair is several inches below her bra strap line and she
turned 46 yesterday.

Mine turned into her Mom after 23 years of marriage. For the first 15 years, it just got better and better everyday. It peaked then , flatlined, but the last three years not so great. She went from sweet and adorable to Stalin era Babushka. But I will say this, she still is fine looking on the outside. Good looking enough to get a high quality man, but I would feel sorry for that guy.
To my knowledge, she isnt seeing anybody. She has enough money to do and buy all the things she wants. In a way we want the same thing, grandkids. But our kids have held off so far, and the way the pandemic has changed the world, it might be a good thing
