Jack,

I just got back 2 days ago. There were flurries mostly every day from 02/21/2005 until I left on 02/25/2005 but the weather was no colder than my hometown.

Kiev looked very beautiful from the sky, all white but not easy to see much detail.

Having been to Kiev in summer, autumn and winter I think winter was the most beautiful. I just wish there was snow removal like in the US. Not much concern about people falling on their arses.

We went to a market where animals are sold "puppy farm" next to some railway tracks and none of the snow appeared to have been removed.

Elen, your photo did not come thru. Would be curious to see Moscow in snow from your viewpoint.

Elen, what part of Moscow do you live?  How far are you from Red Square?

Elen once you get the photo working maybe you should make a new post, snow in Moscow, as oppossed to having it under a post titled Kiev snow.

I live at the South-West of Moscow (Novyi Cheremushki region). It's in 40 minutes on metro from the Red Square.

Noow, I'm tooo lazy to move my photo. (may be latter)

Elen it is futile trying to view your photo. I am asked to give a MSN Passport email address and password. Can you post the picture to imagestation or some free online service?

Better yet, just post the image properties within the HTML tags, , and we can see the photo here on the board without the other BS.

Oops!:(:? And where can I get that "free online service" ? Where should I send a photo from my PC in order to get a link for you? (I used to deal only with MSN boards)

go to the image you have posted and "right" click on the picture.  A small window will appear, at the bottom you will see "properties", left click on "properties"...then highlight the web address listed and paste that between

so that's Moscow today,...cool.

Thanks Elen. It is a beautiful photo. Also reinforces my preference to the spring and fall time of the year in the FSU.
