Vaccines Don't Cause Autism
« on: March 05, 2019, 01:11:19 PM »
Another study has been published that says vaccines don't cause autism. Should we believe it? There are a number of celebrities that say vaccinations and whether or not children should be vaccinated should be left up to the discretion of the parents. Granted most of these celebrities aren't A-list celebrities, more like B-list or C-list celebrities. Still for some reason people follow their advise?

Some celebrities who say no to vaccines:

Jim Carrey - He's Canadian. Many Americans say we should have a healthcare system more like Canada's.
Jenny McCarthy - Very vocal anti-vaxxer.
Donald Trump - He's the president. We should obey him.
Charlie Sheen - He's just crazy.
Mayim Bialik -  She has a real Ph.D. in neuroscience from UCLA, 2007.
Bill Maher - He's old and has been on TV a long time. He hates most conservatives except Ann Coulter.
Alex Jones - As crazy as Charlie Sheen?
Erin Brockovich - Environmental advocate. She vaccinated her kids but has some problems with government saying vaccination must be done.

As for me, I'm all for vaccinating children. My father and his grandfather both had polio and miraculously recovered with no lasting problems. A miracle at the time, especially for my great grandfather considering the state of medicine in the 19th century.

Herd immunity.  Vaccines are good for the herd as in the benefits to the herd out weigh the damage to the occasional individual.  If the herd is well immunised then why risk the individual.  Personally I had my children vaccinated with single shot vaccines to give them MMR protection the only reason MMR is given combined is cost and the risk a child will not be presented for 6 injections rather than 2.  The main problem with vaccines is transport storage and administration did you make sure your vaccine was stored between 3 to 7 c from manufacture to use through the distribution network, was it in date,  was it brought up to 20 c over a 2 hour period,  was there ever a fridge or electricity failure at your clinic.  Are you allergic to egg albumin the growth culture of most vaccines.  Some vaccines retail at over £100 a dose to the doctor , if a receptionist or nurse leaves it out a little to long and it gets warm is she going to throw it away ?

Also westeners beware many FSU have been vaccinated against tick bourn encephalitis and many have acquired or genetic immunity .  No its not Lymes disease its 10 times worse and its heading west out of the fsu.  Good news you can be vaccinated against it ,  bad news reports of post administration headaches in my view due to not warming it up before administration.

I think no-vax advocates should be vaccinated for stupidity, but unfortunately there is no cure for that :(.

Since Edward Jenner, vaccines have saved millions of people from infectious diseases. As a kid I only had one vaccination against smallpox, and had measles and chicken pox - welcome because they meant spending a week in bed cuddled, and no school :D.
