Where a woman works?
« on: December 03, 2009, 05:49:24 PM »
I have been looking for a backup plan.
Began writing a second woman just a very short while ago (UW).  Seems nice enough, has a 12 year old son.
She is a "bookkeeper," but as is often the case, could not find a decent paying job.
She works for (as best I understand) a company that provides meals at a military installation.  (Some things are definitely lost in translation.)  So basically working as a waitress.  Fairly high stress (apparently meals are X time to Y time, no variation, 60 men served at a time, pronto.)

I've been warned away from this by a couple of Ukrainian acquaintances. They have not given me concrete reasons as to why.

Is this some sort of former FSU military / KGB paranoia?
Something else?
I'm puzzled and would like to hear from anyone who has any thoughts.
Thanks.

Do not see any problems. But I thought you were looking for a professor... she is definitely not  ;)
It's your problem if you take my posts too seriously.

Looking for a backup plan, but yes, you are definitely right.  But, she does have a university education, which is a plus.

The woman I am focusing on now (mentioned in another post, I don't remember which one) has a Masters, works 2 jobs, seems very stable, etc.  But WOVO is usually high risk.  Thus the search for other possibilities.

Xman,
I know what advice I will give you now will go against the grain of most members here, but so be it. I personally don’t recommend you to fall into the trap of organizing to date several women during one trip. I don't see anything wrong with her job, as far as some sort of a warning. Most people in thr FSU are "University educated".
If you are rich enough that the costs of a trip don’t concern you and you are really curious about someone, then by all means go and meet her.
If you are concerned about the costs of such a trip, then I would say to wait to get to know more about them, before traveling.
I don’t think I will post here more than that as I don’t want to get into a trap here of trying to defend myself in a public environment.
Feel free to PM me if you are interested to know a more detailed explanation.
