Magnum P.I. rebooted

The 80s PI show Magnum P.I. is being rebooted by CBS. I loved the show, watched it all the time. The bad news is Jay Hernandez is going to be starring as Thomas Magnum.

According to his bio on IMDB he's only 5'8" which means in real life he's probably only 5'7" or less. I liked the fact that Tom Selleck, at 6'3", was a big tough guy and it was believable that his size combined with his SEAL training meant he could take down a couple of tough thugs.

Never heard of Jay Hernandez maybe he'll be good and play Magnum is a slightly different way than Selleck did. I'll certainly give it a watch.

Great TV series! I was pleased when I heard my oldest daughter had her first crush on Tom Selleck. And she Facebook liked Alex Jones as one of her favorites.

I have my DVR set to record the original Magnum series which is being shown in reruns.
Wife likes it a lot.
Partly for Hawaii location, and probably partly for Selleck.
We regularly watch Blue Bloods also; so interesting to see Selleck decades apart.
He was a better actor back then.
Now he mostly specializes in clenched jaw.
Tom Brady's ex is a real looker; classy dame.

Roseanne is back on the air and starting in September Murphy Brown will be rebooted. It's the 80s and 90s all over again.

Just finished watching S1 E1 of the rebooted Magnum P.I.. Looks promising, I'll watch it, see if develops. Same opening theme music. Higgins is still a Brit but instead of a crusty old Brit, he's a she and a hottie.

Just by chance, I started recording the old rerun episodes of Magnum earlier this year.
Gives us something to watch during summer months when some of our current favorites were done for the year.

My former wife had the hots for Tom back when the series originally aired;
and now current spouse reacts the same!!

She didn't have quite that attraction to Tom when we watch him on Blue Bloods; must have  something to do with his age and body !!

But I have the hots for his daughter (Tom Brady's ex) on Blue Bloods.

Thanks Dave for putting this up there. I remember when my oldest daughter told me her first crush was on Tom Selleck of Magnum P.I.  I was so proud! She likes a real man! Never mind the 20 plus (30? +) age gap and her being serious underage, I was proud!
