American photocorrespondent in Sevastopol
« on: April 23, 2014, 02:24:28 PM »
American citizen from Texas is being rotting alive in a Sevastopol state hospital. The man is a photocorrespondent who arrived here to make photos from the referendum. As he says he slipped in the street and lost his consience. He was found in the street in the centre of Sevastopol drunk and without any personal items. It was on the 1 of April. Since then he was in the hospital, left to die by the personnel in the corner of the ward. The staff of the hospital never contacted police, not have they let the embassy know about the american citizen. As nothing in our hospitals is done for free the man was simply rotting alive in his bed. After falling down in the street he lost his ability to walk and can't move now.All his body is covered with awful bedsores and he can't sleep at nights because of pain. There is an old lonely woman in his ward, she lost her leg. The woman was sharing her painkillers with poor James as his pain is unbearable and he was shouting loud all nights. Doctors did nothing(

The man was noticed by one of the visitors and the story came to Sevastopol forum. Now James gets assistance and treatment from local citizens. He was not washed for all these 3 weeks, the smell near him is unbearable. He had nothing to eat. Now local men and women bring him hot food 3 times per day as well as pampers and pills.
James cries and thanks, saying-I came here to make a photo report about separatists and now they save my life.
Here is his photo report http://www.demotix.com/search/media/Sevastopol  (James S. Southers)
The man has no documents at all, no money. People manged to find his relatives and contact the embassy. His sister was looking for him all this time. As he can't move he has to be transported by special medicine car. Now all these questions are being solved and hopefully very soon James will return home.
Here is the video of him adressing his lawyer.

He was probably beaten, robbed then left for dead....the most likely explanation. We all know how well the separatists treat correspondents!

From Booking.com  --
Sevastopolʼ

2 Value Deals
Single room   AUD 7.27
Double room   AUD 7.27
Triple room   AUD 7.27

That is slightly over  USD$7.0 and GBP 4.0
For the cheapskates on forum with the paranoid attitude about getting ripped off!! Never going to be cheaper!!  Not sure about hospital treatment cost!!
Those Russians sure are genuises-made accomodation really cheap-- not enough food-no money to pay for it-- and it is all Ukraines fault.!!
