Anyone know this Ukrainian General?
« on: November 26, 2014, 06:13:00 PM »

Is he still alive? Or did he get busted to buck private? And who were those guys he mentioned that pulled Yakovavitch's strings? Oligarchs?

(sigh) Russian Propaganda is ever on the march. This fake really should come clean about his true intentions. Alas, he is well protected in Crimea and I doubt that he really wants to return to Ukraine.

Listing former presidents of Ukraine and trying to say that certain ones controlled Yanukovich may have some truth, but Yanukovich was the Kremlin's man.

His Message:

- Anti Jewish. Sadly, he has been a racist for decades. Is the CIA controlled by Jews? I'm not a Mason, but I'm way too intelligent to label every Mason leader as a Jew--sadly the General isn't that smart, apparently.

- He is in the back pocket of Moscow, and thus his attacks on the Greek-Catholic church, which suffered greatly under the Soviet government, is pathetic. So are his views on the independent (from Moscow) Ukrainian Orthodox Church. In regards to Patriarch Filaret, the General could not have been more dishonest in his presentation. Of course, the Pope has not recognized Filaret--and never will as the Ukrainian Orthodox Church is not Roman Catholic, so no reason for the Pope to give recognition in the first place. The General knows this, but he also knows that an English speaking audience of the video will be typically ignorant of the differences between Orthodoxy and the Roman Catholic church.

As with all BS, there may be small nuggets of truth. Personally, I have no desire to crawl neck deep into his cesspool to find such small nuggets.

This is basically an echo of the “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion”, another Russian propaganda hoax that was created in 1903.  You would think that with so much practice they could do a better job than what was presented here!!

A really good analysis is presented here by Yale University’s Timothy Snyder

Post-modern politics is just another form of marketing and brand creation, and is a crucial concept in understanding Ukrainian politics.  The Orange Revolution was built around this concept:

Step #1 - poll the people, find out what they want
Step #2 - build a slick marketing campaign selling them what they want
Step #3 - gain “market share", also known as an election
Step #4 - $$$ profit

The actual brand that was created from the Orange Revolution (an orange Tak!), was then registered and copyrighted on behalf of Yushenko’s son, and sold to Nemiroff and others, but quickly disappeared after the brand lost its appeal

A very good video of historian Timothy Snyder explaining why Russian propaganda is so effective.  Those who are still amazed at the mentality of Russians like Doll should watch it carefully to have a better understanding.

Russian lies and propaganda are horrible. The result- many deaths in Ukraine. And when will Russians wake-up? I keep on repeating the truth: the fact is many countries near Russian have chosen closer ties to Europe and distance from Russia.  The reason: democracy is preferred over dictatorship and independence is preferred over foreign control. Reform is chosen over corruption. Russia is feared by its neighbors. Countries near Russia do not trust Moscow. The world sees Putin's bullying and intimidation. If Russia and Putin were a positive influence, you wouldn't see such widespread rejection.
