Twice since the site came back up and running as I was flipping the pages I got the message again As if the site was down. Still having a few hiccups

@Maxx2, in order to have at least something I used that old domain of mine to serve as temporary escape.
Luckily shortly after the redirect got online the problem was fixed.

Not to diminish Shadow's contribution, but this time the RWD black-out of 3+ days was caused AGAIN by the owner not paying the hosting rental on time :(.

True, however it appears that Shadow is the only one that can contact Dan and get the bills paid. The hosting site and domain registrar will not allow anyone but the owner to make the payments. I tried to pay it last year as a gift and was told that only payment from the owner will be accepted. At least we have Shadow to save the day. :) It also appears that Shadow may be the only one that has the administrator login credentials to manage the site.

It seems somebody reminded the owner to pay. That reminder would more likely come from someone who 1) follows RWD daily as a moderator and 2) understands what's happening behind the scenes. Theses two criteria suggest our gratitude should be directed to Sandro.

Or maybe the owner took care of it himself. Or maybe some savior paid GoDaddy.com. What this and other info suggest is RWD is on a tenuous lifeline. Is there a Plan B?

Shadow did, answering my request to do so since I am no longer on speaking/writing terms with Dan, whom I have long considered bloody rude and discourteous for not deigning to answer my previous communications for several years :(.

I remember way back when the previous owner (Patrick) of prior site asked who wanted to take it over.
He then chose Dan from among those who showed an interest.

I'm going to say he hacked his way in and left some money. I hope he hacks into my computer next.

I *did* offer Dan to transfer the hosting of domain name to my web hosting company as that would at least give an amount of certainty for the bills being paid on time but no answer yet.Similar I could add a VPS to host the sites with little to no extra cost, as could others.
Without calamities we should be safe until the end of May.
