Hello, I discovered in Youtube that the chinese guy that married a 18 year old Ukranian opened an agency for wealthy Chinese men.

From what I saw in the video this ladies might be gold diggers because the recruiter says to the woman on the street  "We introduce Ukranian girls to exceptional Chinese men."

This is an excellent idea for the men of China.
Due to the one child law in effect for many years, and the desire of Chinese families to have a son, newborn girls were killed.

Now, there is an imbalance of men/women in China of a certain age, with males greatly outnumbering the females.

Even as most FSU women do not care for Oriental men . . . I am sure that the good looking and very well-to-do Chinese men could change the minds of many of these women.

They'd probably be out of business if they said "We introduce Ukrainian girls to average and poor Chinese men."


A guy can be exceptional without being rich. The word is open to interpretation. One Ukrainian girl can take the word as if she'll be introduced to a rich Chinese man. Another Ukrainian girl can interpret the word as if she'll be introduced to a good family man. If a guy used that international matchmaking service, it's up to him to figure out the agenda and motives of the ladies he's meeting.

This is an excellent idea for the men of China.

90% of one of my children's classmates were Chinese. Most could not write English fluently. Two university roommates were Chinese. Great people but for the most part, marrying a Caucasian is a non starter. It's a form of reverse racism. I doubt the majority of wealthy Chinese men, who have options, would marry a non Chinese woman.

These females are just simply going back to their roots. Khan's legacy lives on. He wasn't Chinese but present day Chinese men are an economic powerhouses than their Mongolian counterparts so it's, well, close enough.

MOB biz never died in China. Even as far back as the first rail was laid down in the new frontier's western railways. Coincidentally, was also when the term 'mail order bride' was created.

But lay no waste to the reality that not too long ago, Korean men were enjoying the fruits of the women of Vladivostok. Economic times simply swung that pendulum and aimed its focus upon Ukraine. Lawrd knows what a billion horny Chinese men with $$ can do with white leggy women from an unstable, economically-challenged region (not just Ukraine).

In light of the silly (a staunch liberal) Harvey Weinstein revelation, men of power and wealth, still command greater attention and advantages.

You're probably right but if the Chinese guy who opened the business to cater to the minority of wealthy Chinese men that would marry outside their country, that's a lot of men which could translate into a lot of business. I think he'll have an easier time finding Chinese men who'd marry a Ukrainian woman than a Ukrainian woman that would marry a Chinese man. His business might be open to Western men too. It'll be interesting to learn how long he stays in business.

I still remember all the backstage moments at that infamous, proverbial Tyra Banks Show. Notably during the On-Camera feud between owners and respective wives involved with another dating agency (forgot the name) accusing each other of pimping their gals pornographically. That fight continued during the commercial cut and left the studio audience jeering and howling.

Fun good guy Donhollio was there to witness that, too.

That wasn't the best of times for the Russian MOBs.

Three caveats though. The women were mostly applauded for their cause by the audience, and John (AFA) was very gracious and courteous towards me and my wife. I think Dan, the owner of RWD was somewhere 'close' trying to cover the entire taping of the show.

The third was THE whopper: Tyra discreetly tried to portray the wives/gals in a bad, desperate light, to which the audience caught up with her and actually backfired on her. She even tried to single out me and my wife. tsk, tsk Silly bunny.

With all that flashbang, they didn't syndicate that episode (eventually shelving her entire series) and ultimately ended her tenure/show.

Had the displeasure of his company listening to him describe his dishonest business while in Ukraine. I'm sure you wish we had an unedited copy of that show. Terrible hostess, terrible twisted plot as it was described to me.
 John from AFA seemed like a nice guy. I sat beside him briefly. Years ago a hot topic started here with Ashley and wife attacking me. I guess he wasn't so smart boasting about his near escape from Ukraine.
 Afterward John emailed me saying he was sorry I had to endure Ashley Neil's attacks. I thought that was decent of a guy who often is attacked himself.
 I do remember reading her fan comments and they tore a few strips of the super model. That show could of been really good, but from where I sat she was just a player doing her role reading lines.

Arguably one of the silliest thing I got my wife, and myself, involved in throughout this international marriage experience. But I will admit it was sort of fun, and definitely LOVED the end result seeing that particular show helped to sway whatever fan base princess T had left finally railing against her.

I came to understand that they had you taping much earlier than we did. They basically had us kept in the green room with those tasteless, low budget cold sandwiches to nibble on. I've been to a few of these and that was by far the skimpiest provisions...That show was already teetering on the edge of the budgetary abyss.

Yes, Ashley Neal! Face of Siberia. Thanks for reminding me. Likewise on your take about John. At least in the manner of how he was with us. When we were pulled off the room for our skit. They had us sit in the audience while waiting for our roll. We sat next to John and it was pretty obvious that the audience was already lit (were you responsible for that? LOL) by that time. John, after introducing himself to us, leaned over and whispered that we should prepare because Ms. wrap is about to unleash the whole age difference garbage on us as a way to show what is so wrong about the MOB. I remember a couple of ladies (AW) were seated amongst us and overheard what John was talking about and made the connection that apparently 'we' will be the highlighted couple about the subject. One asked, "Are you two the ones she was referring to (likely from the show's intro monologue) about the age gap?". I shrugged my shoulders and said 'I guess. I don't know'. She said, ' your wife is very pretty and I don't think you look that old.' She looked at her friend for confirmation as if to ask for her opinion. She shaked her head side-to-side, then turned back to us and said, 'No offense to your wife, but I would've dated you and I think I'm as old as your wife.'. Her friend chimed in and said, 'It's BS anyway because Tyra herself is dating a dude from NY 25+ years older than herself!'

Then they broke for commercial and we got ushered to the stage. Wife sat next to Tyra, and she began her number on us. I have to give her credit for really trying just that the audience obviously weren't buying today as she never got the reaction she was direly inciting. She tried every angle..."Why go to Russia? What's wrong with American women? Blah, blah, blah"

IIRC, she also had a RW on the show who was a victim of domestic abuse. We saw her at the make-up suite and didn't realize who she was until we got up on the stage.

Apparently Dan (RWD) was tangled up on her show's blogsphere while it was being taped, and Tyra's eventual red tide was already heating up, which eventually blew up. I'm not sure if you had the opportunity to read through a lot of the posts in that blog, but man, they were really after her.

Anywho...because of the 'fight' between AFA/Face of Siberia during the show when they were airing out each other's proverbial dirty laundries (I never really got the full context on this bit), there were ensuing lawsuits that followed and may have dragged the show itself in legal wringing. To what exact content, I don't really know.

An aside: I got a kick out of what you told me about bringing your friend along with you from Canada to the show as a condition of you appearing. I thought that was classic! LMAO! Great negotiator! Did they gave you the limo service, too?

To close, I haven't heard from our 'good friend in Monterey'. He stayed with us 2-3 weekends. The last one was about 3-4 years ago, and haven't seen him since. With the exception of maybe half a dozen text messages now and then, he's all but disappeared.

I think I have a low-definition VHS copy somewhere. The show itself had an video archived library but I believe that particular show was pulled out, and eventually many followed to a point you might not be able to find one in the internet anymore.

But even if you are able to find the TV footage, it will unfortunately pale in comparison to what Don alluded to above - the unedited version. I will conservatively say what aired had almost 90% of it's garbage laying on the cutting room floor.

DonAZ, an old member, ex-moderator at RWG, may still have copies, too. Maybe maxx2, not sure.

Yes Jay I have a copy somewhere in some windowless room.  And no I wont look for it. Would take me hours to find, and really it was such a bad show, they pieced what they could to make it play to their sad theme.
 GQ we got limo service, had a good chat with the driver after the show. I was out in the seats for 90% of the debacle.
 As soon as I heard the tittle I decided to not play along. You see they phoned me after i expressed an interest , and i blurted out how I would enjoy having a traditional wife, like in the 1950's.
 Well that got her all keen on flying me down, she wanted me to bring a friend, so off we went. Once finally in the broom closet of a green room, she told me Tyra will ask me a question and I was to say how I wanted a 1950's bride.
 It became clear that I was going to be set up, then my pal pipes in about some stuff and i deny it. She's now thinking if we go on together she'll have two loose cannons. I offer to talk with a MN accent. I thought it would be fine since she called.me Dan, and my friend Tam.   Damn woman couldn't pronounce the O.
 We walked down some hallway and Hulk Hogan and family was passing us. This was before his family trash was aired. I think they did the show before us.
 Anyway I didn't say my line as she wanted and in the end they hacked my sentence and put somewhat together to make it sound like I said what they wanted.  All in all, neat seeing behind the scenes at CBS, Craig Furgason strolled by our room, saw that we were nobody's  and continued on.
