After the fall of communism, the biggest mistake Boris Yeltsin's regime made was not to disband the KGB altogether. Instead it changed its name to the FSB and, to many observers, morphed into a gangster organisation, eventually headed by master criminal Vladimir Putin. - Gerard Batten

Adele,

...and my American Idol, Haley Reinhart's

Floored me and my wife. Wifey fell in love with that polkee red dress pretty hard. After the performance she rushed upstairs and surfed the 'net. I don't how the heck women do this but  she found it. Damned.

I think she should also get 'dem nakid shoes...

MOZART'S MILANESE MOTET

Young Mozart visited Milan 3 times:
Quote
In Milan, Mozart wrote the opera Mitridate, re di Ponto (1770), which was performed with success. This led to further opera commissions. He returned with his father later twice to Milan (August–December 1771; October 1772 – March 1773) for the composition and premieres of Ascanio in Alba (1771) and Lucio Silla (1772). Leopold hoped these visits would result in a professional appointment for his son in Italy, but these hopes were never fulfilled. Toward the end of the final Italian journey, Mozart wrote the first of his works to be still widely performed today, the solo motet Exsultate, jubilate, K. 165.

Tonight I had the opportunity of hearing his motet performed in our Romanic church of San Cristoforo (http://www.russianwomendiscussion.com/index.php?topic=9589.msg233189#msg233189) . Here are the last 2 parts (Tu virginum corona and Alleluia) of this 4-part motet:

Aren't you going to fix your link, BC?

I find if I cut and paste the youtube address bar, click on  "youtube" in the message codes, then add the link between the "youtube" codes, the link will work.  If I try to link in directly from the youtube site, I get "invalid link".

I like lots of music. As we own/operate an international Smooth Jazz station many friends assume it is all I listen to, but we also enjoy classical, Motown oldies, Russian folk songs and Russian pop, too.

Songs I dedicate to the most beautiful and special lady one could ever imagine, Mrs. Mendeleyeva!

CLASSICAL GUITAR

At a concert tonight I had the opportunity of hearing a good young classical guitarist play 4 Preludes by Heitor Villa-Lobos (1887–1959):
