KYIV BORYSPIL INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO KYIV TRANSFER
« on: July 30, 2019, 10:37:45 AM »
Following on from a couple of positive info topics from jone  --I saw this very current useful info --both for first timers and everyone .

Please add REAL experiences ( & questions)  to the thread.
Just one comment on the vid that is not correct --Zhuliany  has many international flights --and is most accurately described as the Kyiv's  2nd International airport --  and it is being expanded and  has grown significently.

Wife took this new train 3 times during her month long visit to Ukraine.
She liked it.
But if 3 + people going and a lot of luggage, taxi is better.
A beautiful woman is pleasant to look at, but it is easier to live with a pleasant acting one.

Used the transfer train in my last trip to Kiev. To be honest it is more of a single carriage with a driver's cabin at either end. It's wonderful to be able to avoid taxi's from Borispil at last :) It's also amazingly cheap, forget now think it was about 80 Ghrivna, about £3 I think. It's just to the side of the big new terminal, so if arriving at the other older terminal a little walk around to it is required.

I would prefer it any day to taxi, it's quite a way from Borispil to Kiev and it can get as boring as hell in a taxi, not to mention better in terms of avoiding traffic jams. At the big main train station in Kiev it's just a case of going into the tube building just if to the side of the station to go anyway in central Kiev, again ridiculously cheap 8 Ghrivna I think it was.

What 'big new terminal'? If you mean 'D", it is 7 years old.

What 'other old terminal' are you talking about?  Only Terminal D and F being used now.

Yep that's what I mean, the newish terminal D and the old terminal F. The old terminal F there is a bit of a walk around the corner to Terminal D, which could take some unawares if they think all will arrive by plane and the train will be right next door, but that is just the case with the newish terminal D.

You do know the two terminals( D & F) were built a couple years apart?

Most people will use tram to get from F to D. F is a little further than the old A & B were.
