I am a long-time lurker on this site, and sometimes want to contribute to the UK-related threads. I have dated UK-based foreign women in the past, and so decided to try my luck with FSU orientated sites. My own story is that I met someone over the internet and quickly went to visit her in Ukraine. Before going I decided just to enjoy myself over there and treat it like any other holiday adventure. Our meeting in person was unsuccessful. However, the agency introduced me to another lady. We liked each other during our initial meeting, and simply she is now my wife. I am no expert on dating FSU ladies, although it feels just like meeting someone in the UK. However, I have developed a good understanding of the UK Visa system, and learnt how to 'read the tea leaves' in their decision-making process. Looking forward to contributing to the forum.

Yes, awfully bad form. I am Europhile rather than American, and so have a different viewpoint on this subject. Best agreeing to disagree!

This kind of story will not go over well here.

Why?
It wasnt all that unusual of an occurance before the MOB agencies basically dried up in czech, russia etc.
Now that they are limited mostly to Ukraine (as far as FSU) and based on profit from non visiting clients it's less likely.

I went to visit just my now wife , if things had went south i would have likely just did touristy stuff in Crimea, or just travel to Vienna, greece,or Prague,
but who knows,I do lots of things on a whim.i  might have hung out in niko to
meet some locals ,or had a meeting with an agency woman that caught my eye.
