Need the scoop for navigating the Moscow airport
« on: December 26, 2006, 03:05:52 AM »
have traveled to Ukraine 4 times now, but will be going to St Petersburg via Moscow. I will be leaving the 27th of December arriving in Moscow on the 28th. I have heard that going from the international airport to the other can be difficult for those who dont know how to do this. There is supposed to be a free shuttle between them but everyone especially the cab drivers will try to make sure that this doesnt happen.

Can someone tell me the right way to navigate this?

Thankyou,

Hi Bill,   Yep, it is easy as all get out.   Click here and you will see a detailed explaination.   Yes, the hardest part is getting past all the cab drivers who will be trying to convince you that you are better off paying them $ 50.00 for the 10 minute ride than taking the bus.

If you go the taxi route, then I would suggest going to the taxi stand and paying the going rate for the certified drivers, especially if you are carrying a lot of cash with you.

If you want to grab a bite to eat at Sheremetyvo before tranfering to the other terminal......go to the bottom floor............prices are much cheaper. I learned this and dozens of other tidbits of info........because I lived at SVO for three days. I missed a connection on a Saturday........and was stuck until the following Tuesday. I knew all 52 cab drivers by name ;)
