Ryanair's owner has had other priorities at times this year.  He's possibly the first racehorse owner ever to win the Cheltenham Gold Cup and the Irish and English Grand National Steeplechases in the same season.  His TV interview after the race at Aintree was priceless.

He runs one of the worst (in terms of passenger service) airlines in the world...a lot like the Russian/ Ukrainian oligarchs reaping glory while passing crap onto customers and employees.

I'm well aware of that!  However, my brother, who lives near Dublin, swears by them and won't fly with any other airline.  His point, which is fair enough, is that you need to read the fine print when booking (with any airline).  You're then far less likely to get stung by any of Ryanair's unique extra charges at the airport.

Well when you can travel from Sweden to Italy/Spain/Cyprus and places like that for $15-20 one way (and cheaper sometimes)..  I can take a lot of crap in form of passenger service  ;D

When passengers don't pay enough to support the cost of the flight, I suspect cost control measures (reduced spending) are being taken in aircraft maintenance, crew selection and training, and overall general airline operations matters.

Realize that all the parts that go into producing an aircraft are supplied by the lowest cost bidder !!!!

"The world is a book:  Those who don't travel read only the first page."

Don't rely upon the "overrated aircraft pilots" to facilitate your travels. Maybe book freighter ship cabins for your forays to the FSU.   ;D

 :clapping:

Lmao. Thanks for the good chuckle. That was funny. We're not overrated. Quite the opposite. In our own minds we're quite underrated!

Ryanair is the Spirit Airlines of Europe. To paraphrase the last CEO of Spirit, "We know we piss customers off and they swear they'll never fly us again. That is until the next time they go online to book a ticket and we're the cheapest by far".

Somehow I don't think even Spirit could possibly come close to the proportion of bad reviews which Ryanair generates.  However, as I posted above, my brother won't fly with anyone else to airports served by Ryanair.

Ochka and I were once in Egypt and took a local flight between cities.

I told her that once planes didn't meet qualifications in USA, we sold them to Ukraine.  And once the planes didn't meet Ukraine standards, they were sold to Egypt.

I didn't tell her this until we were gone from Egypt.
She still didn't see the humor.

And Egypt then passes them on to obscure places in the middle of Africa.  8)
