Доброго времени суток!
Обращаюсь к тем, кто самостоятельно иммигрировал из Украины или России в другие страны  :)
Хотелось бы узнать подробнее об этом.

Я бы исходила 1) из знания себя самой, и 2) где принимают. Рассмотрела бы Канаду (они опять подкрутили гайки иммиграции) и Австралию. Еще Великобритания вроде принимает независимых иммигрантов, я примерялась в свое время, но не прошла, т.к. показатели по зарплате были малы, а там требовались спецы с высоким потенциалом по зарплате. Канада такого условия не ставила.

LT, a correct question would be, Какая страна вас больше всех интересует?

I believe that it is not which country interests you more, but where do you have reasonable chance to immigrate. For example, I would be interested in living in California near the ocean, bur what is the use of my dreams where I have no reasonable chance to make my living there? ;)

Ерунда это всё. Девушка из бедной Украины просто прочла, что в Норвегии самые высокие зарплаты в Европе, поэтому, как ей кажется, там лучше. А какие там цены? А как там требуют работать? Сможет ли она освоить их язык, а скандинавские языки - это вам не английский. А их ужасный климат? А отношение местных к ней? Короче говоря, пусть она, хотя бы как туристка, поедет туда пару раз на, как минимум, месяц, и тогда можно о чем то говорить. Она хочет Норвегию, а хочет ли Норвегия её, вот в чем вопрос. А вообще, для среднестатистической женщины с Украины лучше всего было бы в России, Израиле и США.

Все, что вы описали, это как раз и называется - поискать информацию о стране. Не вижу с чего мой коммент был бы ерундой, а ваш - прямо перлами мысли)))

There are many Russian and Ukrainian women living in Norway, so information on their experiences here should be easy to get.
My wife from Crimea has lived here for almost 6 years. Learned the language in about one year, we had a baby and after living here for 2 1/2 years, she got a job. Now she has two jobs and also study.


As is true for every country, Rina is correct that it is advisable to learn more about the country in which you aim for.

a very beautiful country, almost went there this year, instead of Amsterdam, next year is UK...
I don't think Norwegian would be a more difficult language for a Russian speaker to learn than English
just easier to find English teachers in FSU
as an American, I can tell you, I'd MUCH rather live in Norway than America...
I tried learning Dutch to see how difficult it would be, unfortunately, I keep "slipping" into German which I already know
no chance my wife and I will learn A2 Dutch
so no permanent residency for us
but English is English
will they take points off the exam for color vrs colour?
right/left side is the biggest issue...

If you can speak English and German A2 Dutch should be a cakewalk. I studied German for 2 years when at university and was able to make my way through a Dutch children's school book a friend of mine had a year ago with little effort. I bet you could reach A2 in no more than 6-8 months.

Color=Colour on any international English exam.

Ich habe den Wein getrunken

some words are the same like vogel - I think that's what throws me off to german
and then the s/z difference
like zwemmen/schwimmen  and this throws me as well

and my wife has zero german/dutch

and every person we met in Amsterdam spoke English
so the exam WOULD be a show stopper for us
wouldn't want to pluck down close to 2 million euro for golden visa and apartment
and then find out we couldn't pass the test!!!!

In the UK I can apply for residency because my mother was born there
simple, inexpensive, will see a solicitor next year to go through everything
providing my wife likes Hereford/Rochdale area
I don't want to live in London

You have to be to joking, or perhaps too much wine.

I assume you wanted to say/write. I drank some wine

In Dutch it would read like this Ik heb wat wijn gedronken or Ik heb wijn gedronken

My German is not fluent but I think you would to say the above as; Ich habe was Wein getrunken. I would have to ask a fluent speaker, it sounds wrong.

But yes English especially in Amsterdam is a common language from the bike shop to the bakery. I am confident that when you visited a sex shop in Amsterdam they understood your needs in English.

As for a residency permit (verblijfsvergunning) again you are so wrong and ill informed. To be clear you do not need 2,000,000 €.

2 million euro includes putting a roof over our head, hopefully on a lower floor, and a "GOLDEN" visa!!

my german sprachen ability is derived from working there, never took any form of formal language learning
same of Russian, just picked it up
do I get German wrong, of course!!!!

it's what I'm getting at!!!!!
I'm sure if my life depended on learning Dutch, I'd learn Dutch
but it would be an expenditure of time and effort I would rather spend elsewhere
and is completely unnecessary for me to actually live there, just a requirement by the Dutch government
I understand why they do it
just not a hurdle I'm willing to jump over
would much rather live in the UK instead
and take Eurostar over, it's just a few hours trip from London

yes, you're right about gentleman's club, English is fine
although my companion was Ukrainian and spoke Russian
so that came in handy

I'm glad you found my account of the gentleman's club titillating
I love "Happy Endings" don't you?

this is why why I'm considering UK
simple to understand
but I'm sure you'll find something to object to

how i'd say in English, "I have drunk the wine"
not how how i'd actually  say it in English of course, just doing for comparison
but of course you will have to argue for some reason
as a favor to me, would you PLEASE put me on ignore?
