Miss Ukraine Diana Harkusha makes top 15 in the Miss Universe Pageant

I thought I would interrupt the politics for something possibly more entertaining and beautiful.  Miss Ukraine Diana Harkusha, from Kharkov has made it into the elite top 15 of the Miss Universe Beauty Pageant.

My dad calls me up and tells me it's on in time for my wife and I to watch all of it. He says Ms Ukraine looks like my wife. There are similarities especially when Ms. Ukraine wears her hair straight and long or tied up in a bun. Both tall and similar figures. My wife is more beautiful in the face. Ms Ukraine took 3rd. She blew the final question. I think she could've done a better job with the answer to what her country gave the world.

Ochka was pulling  for Miss USA to win.

She liked Miss Ukraine, but said she did not have a natural smile like Miss USA.

I thought Miss Netherlands had the sexiest face of any of them.  It said, 'take me straight to bed.'  But her looks and coloring suggested very little Netherlands blood.

Ochka watched the entire program, but  I had a lot of computer work to do, so only came to watch when she insisted I must look at so and so, or the dress worn by such and such, etc.

Overall, a lot of my body type on display:  Tall, narrow, with slender thighs.

I read it as being "fun" facts, not really her talents.

I think Miss Ukraine was robbed.  She was far more beautiful then the other two.  I've noticed that these Miss Universe contests favor Latin American contestants.  Miss USA while attractive would not make my top 10.

Of the contestants who did not make the top 15 I really liked Miss Lithuania and Miss Hungary.

I liked a number of the Eastern European contestants better than a good many contestants who made the top 15.

Some people are saying Miss Jamaica should have won and the crowd booed when she got only fourth runner-up.  I cannot see it. Her face didn't measure up to the top contestants and her hair was as short as most men's hair is.  Here she is:

The contestant who got the question about the swim suit section of the contest was Miss Ukraine.  I really don't know why some of the judges keep trying to push such a stupid agenda.  Swimsuits have always been part of beauty pageants and always should be.

Miss Columbia answered a question and threw in the word "equality" which is probably why she won.

But she was less refined. The other contestants, especially Ms. America had more training on how to talk and be elegant. Ms. Ukraine didn't do well answering the questions.


FUN FACT: The Ms Ukraine at the contest was not the original Ms Ukraine 2014. The original winner of Ms Ukraine 2014 stepped down for personal reasons so the first runner up, Diana Harkusha, took her place.

I'm not into short hair but I actually thought Ms Jamaica belonged in the top 5. She had good manners and carried herself well. Ms Netherlands was the only gal I thought didn't belong into the top 5. I thought her looks were average.

Good responses BB.  Jone thinks Miss Jamaica is ugly.  I don't think she's ugly at all but I would not place her top 15.  You think she deserved top 5.  Just goes to show that beauty really is in the eye of the beholder.  I don't care if Miss Ukraine was not (as you say) as polished as the other two, she's the one I felt deserved the title.  At least she made top 3, and for that I say "congratulations" to her and to Ukraine.
