Please Help Find Out Why Cancer Rate in Crimea is So High
« on: May 20, 2018, 08:50:02 AM »

why is the cancer rate so high in Crimea?
in some villages the cancer rate is over 50%!!!!
is it because the North-Crimean Canal is bringing concentrations of Chernobyl-derived Cs-137 and Sr-90 into Crimea’s farms?
for the last 30+ years has Crimean top soil has been accumulating Cs-137 and Sr-90 which is passed along in produce to people?

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23639695

this summer I’m using my own funds to do a ground and hydrology sample gathering to be tested in usa and report published

meanwhile for Crimean Cancer patients
the only radiation machines for cancer patients broke in 2015 and no longer functioning
so radiation therapy is not even provided in Crimea since then
meanwhile Ukraine’s stockpile of cancer medications that the Russians took after occupation have been depleted, and there’s no new ones forthcoming
so if you have cancer in crimea you’re SOL

i'm asking fellow RWDers who travel to Krim to PM me about sample gathering and preparation

i'm trying to do something about getting equipment fixed, will know more when i'm there in person 2 months from now
it's a crisis and no one there is doing a single thing about it...

I wouldn't advertise your intentions too clearly here.  Your actions, while totally commendable, would fly in the face of the political thought for Krim.   If any of the authorities get wind of your actions you could find yourself detained or expelled permanently.

We have over a thousand guests, each day, who read this forum.  Many are here for free language lessons.  Others, here, might have more dubious reasons for reading this.

"I wouldn't advertise your intentions too clearly here."

aware, publicity is my best and only defense
worse case, they'll deny me entry

best case, I'm going to find physical evidence
that Chernobyl-derived Cs-137 and Sr-90 has flowed from the North Crimean Canal into Crimea's
interior and has been accumulating in soil for 30+ years and that the radiation is INCREASING and not DECREASING there as a result!
and that the increasing accumulation in soil has also lead to an increased accumulation in locally grown produce!
and that people are dying from cancer in ever increasing numbers from this!!!!
and meanwhile cancer treatment in Crimea is non-functional...

that's probably what I'm going to find out when I run the samples....
yup.....

yur call fancy bear
what next

it's also possible that someday someone may bring cancer medications to Crimea
and this would be banned by both the USA and Russia
but someday someone may do this

it would be simple for Russia to stop someone from investigating this or from bringing cancer meds to Krim
fancy bear is smart!
fancy bear knows it would be better to figure out how to use it instead

I haven't been to Krim but I'm willing to send you my pee and poo for your inspection.

Check out the history of factories in the area. I did a job years ago working land to build a school. Many years ago a city nearby once had a factory miles away that put out toxic smoke during manufacturing. The land was downwind of the factory and there was fallout of arsenic. Since the dirt contained high levels of arsenic, we had to wear special suits and haul it to a special dump site.

It's possible many people of Crimea were downwind or downstream of factories that released harmful products into the environment
Fund the audits, spread the word and educate people, write your politicians and other elected officials. Stay active in the fight to save our country. Over 220 generals and admirals say we are in a fight for our survival like no other time since 1776.

"I haven't been to Krim but I'm willing to send you my pee and poo for your inspection."

as delighted as I would be in receiving such cherished items from you, I must with deepest regret decline your generous offer
I am only interested in tracing the flow of water from the North Crimean Canal

The North Crimean canal is enormous (built with Soviet Slave Labor)
It includes seven large water reservoirs and it's over 250.2 mi in length
when it gets to Kerch the canal then “runs” along the North East of almost all of Crimea
and from there numerous “sub-canals” heading south west then spin-off

including the Razdolne rice canal, Azov rice canal, Krasnohvardiiske distribution canal, Uniting canal, and Saky canal  this also supplies Simferopol with water!!!!

so what I’m actually looking for is produce grown from any farm that connects to this water distribution system, and access to the farms where it was grown and access to the canal water

based on information I have the canal is depositing a fine radioactive silt
that has been accumulating in the fields for 30+ yr which causes ever increasing level of radiation
and no one wants to discuss it
as well as the fact that people who live in these villages within the canals are 50% dead of cancer
and meanwhile in crimea in irony of irony there is no functional radiation therapy for cancer treatment since the machines stopped working several yr ago

but what about Hillary's emails?

oh and I should add I am especially interested in any sediments that might be found in the canal
and any pictures of before, after, and during sever summer storms of the canls

I'd leave your wife and daughters home during such a trip.

Seriously -- krim -- these Russian nut cases have a level of paranoia beyond most to understand.I know you lived there -- but that was before 2014 -- and much has changed -- for the worst.

My guess is that Chernobyl is not the cause of the of elevated cancer rate. It makes no sense why does Kiev have a lower ratio? There are a number of reasons for this line of thinking. It is also worth noting 50% ratio of cancer to the general population is VERY high. Are there any current statistics to support this? Also what were the ratios prior Chernobyl.

Some cities such as Rivne/Rovno and Kropyvnytskyi/Kirovohrad have elevated cancer rates but they are not along the Dnieper.

I would first make a map of cancer on the Krim. This information should be available on line today to a Russian/Ukraine speaker.

Bringing medication should be done through an organization such as Médecins Sans Frontières or Artsen zonder Grenzen.

Experierence is not what happens to you. It is what you do with what happens to you. A. Huxley
