Girls in Russia and Ukraine are more net and tech savvy than many of their western counterparts - they live on their phones, messengers etc....

sorry to disappoint you!..... unfortunately with my work schedule and her work schedule, and her child. We want to be able to focus on each other. Hell..... normal married couples do it in the US. Appreciate the advice but this us what works for us.

While in Bishkek years ago I came across two guys pulling the classic three card trick. In Canada I was once solicited by two random guys to invest in a ponzi scheme. Not hard to spot.

Use dating apps and common sense. I'm sure there are "scammers" on Badoo and Tinder but they are few and far between.

DC - the only thing you should give a women before you meet is your attention. Even then, I'm not convinced that's a good idea.

They all watch movies for free on one site or another (they also get
computer viruses)

There's Netflix Russia and I personally know coworkers who pay for it. It's not a high price to pay to avoid catching nasties to your PC.
This is in a big city though, so YMMV depending on the ladies' locations, occupations, etc.

Recently, we ended the Non-FSU political threads so we no longer argue
about obscure topics like Brexit, the electoral college, the Lockerbie
Bombing and such things.

Now we are trying to spend more time on discussing things more directly
related the Former Soviet Union, finding and pursuing and marrying a
woman from there. Your perspective is welcome here.

Yeah, I've been lurking in the shadows for quite some time, and have watched the forum turn all political and then back to "normal".
I'll try to chime in when I can - though I've never been on any marriage-related or introductions, etc. websites, so I won't have much of an insight into the minds and behaviors of either scammers or sincere ladies there.

Yeah, it has definitely made logistics more complicated.

Not just the outright travel bans and restrictions but also the fact that consulates and embassies have been all but closed since March, so renewing visas is either impossible or a PITA of epic proportions.

Now with IATA's plans to roll out a sort of travel health passport (with proof of covid vaccination), which would be necessary for air travel, things can get even more complicated. Not a dull moment for sure LOL

Note: This is very general standard advice primarily for the noobs and
lurkers who will read this thread. So don't take anything personally.

I have gotten up at 5:00 am many times to chat with a Russian girl
with a busy schedule. Most of Russia shuts down for a week starting
Wed/Thurs next week. You will have a chance to chat with her several
days in a row, then she will be hooked (or not). 

A good girl who is genuinely romantically interested in you will move
heaven and Earth to communicate frequently with you. If she wants
to chat every day then I would advise to continue pursuing her, if she
says she can only chat once a week, then I would consider her not
interested enough to pursue.

You want a girl who is totally interested and invested not a girl who
is so-so interested no matter how freaking hot she is.

I greatly appreciate your advice, but also be aware that I am not posting every detail. With that being said we have chatted every day just not as long as the first couple of 2 hour days, that's what I meant "by not as often as we would like too." It has been a great chat, and we are really getting along. It seems like when we are talking it is like we have always known each other. I am going to stop posting in this thread, because it is way of topic. But will evidently will post a new thread.
