How long?

How long does it take these days from the time an application for K1 Visa is submitted to actually get the visa? I know it varies based on where I live. Currently, I live in PA and that means having to deal with the slow pokes in St. Albans, VT. I work remotely and I can live anywhere on the planet. Considering moving to a warmer climate before winter sets in. Perhaps Florida. I would think the timeline for residents of Florida is a lot faster. I could even live in Ukraine and work remotely till the K1 Visa arrives I guess. But that 90 day limit. How does that work? Live in UA for say 88 days, leave and how much gap there has to be before returning. Am I even understanding that right? Thanks.

Been awhile since I checked in with them, but VisaJourney.com use to track exactly that type of information.   Might want to see if they are still around.

The turnaround is around 10 months for most if I recall correctly. Visajourney will have the most up to date time frame though.


We live in Florida and it actually delayed us. They transferred our case to Cali and that set us back a month or more. It is really just a lucky roll of the die and depends whose desk and hat office they drop your file on.

I think wait time has been reduced. Conflict in the FSU and less people getting married has created less workload for government workers. DarthBudda, who's fiancée just arrived, didn't seem to have a big wait time.
