« on: February 10, 2018, 04:41:31 PM »
Hi,

I saw this before here  but is there a list of dodgy dating websites people have used?
One I saw recently was Polish Hearts which I havent joined but endless people are complaining about it.

Thanks

Andrewj, nowadays the list would be too long to publish ;D. Seriouysly, if it is a PPL/PPC (Pay per letter/chat), it is inherently dodgy, with subscription sites also partly so.

??

Sandro - I don't understand what you mean by subscription sites?  Whilst there are totally free sites - I didn't mind paying a little for being higher up the search list and more filters in searches - that saved lots of time.

Subscription sites can fool male customers. think Ashley Madison where it was reported 95% of the women's profiles there were fake and agency employees write through them.
Fund the audits, spread the word and educate people, write your politicians and other elected officials. Stay active in the fight to save our country. Over 220 generals and admirals say we are in a fight for our survival like no other time since 1776.

'Ri-ight' ...So most  of us meeting our wives from sites like EM, Lucky-Lovers, etc., were 'scammed'

Or is this just BillyB being contrary - for the sake of it ?

You have a habit of making big arguments over little things. I gave Ashley Madison as a sample site where most women's profiles aren't real. For some stupid reason, probably brain malfunction, you think I used EM and Lucky Lovers as example sites where most women profiles aren't real and telling everybody you've been scammed. Before you escalate this argument, show me where I said "ALL subscription sites fool men the same way with fake profiles."

YOU have a habit of posting ( mostly ) irrelevant stuff  that so often arms your debating opponent and this is but another example..

I know sod all about Ashley Madison - other than what I've just read - as it seems to be used ( have been used ?)  by married folks seeking away games ...

So, can you deal with my Q - which refers to the remit of this site ....  'Russian' dating sites ?...TRY not to deflect / obfuscate - for once ....

Thanks, Blighty - I read the BEEB article on Cupid - but no proof in that article ...

I have used R Cupid to meet genuine women  - as was the case with Bride.ru, Elenasmodels, LuckyLovers...  ( 10 years plus, ago)

Like most newbies - I've paid by the letter and wised up - esp as I've received intro letters from ladies I'd already met

Back in 2013 - I indulged in a pointless exercise checking the veracity of a site that sent me 20 plus letters per day...  I tracked down the ladies using photo detection software from Yandex to find social media profiles.

They were five or more years old photos in the profile and they weren't getting the emails ..

If I say some subscription sites can use fake profiles such as Ashley Madison", and you disagree, you say "no BillyB, Most/all/no subscription sites use fake profiles." It's that easy but instead you somehow think I'm attacking YOU for implying EM and Lucky lovers use fake profiles and that you were scammed for using those sites. Where did that come from? Like Sandro, I'm just trying to help the OP understand why subscription sites aren't perfect. You were banned here many times. I don't know how many other places you were banned at but add it up and it's bad. The problem isn't everybody around you.

Many of the online dating sites have been busted for fake female profiles. If Yahoo is doing it in the US you can bet your ass small agencies in Ukraine are.

Interestingly enough, my journey as a single man was initiated by Ashley Madison. My Ex was probably the only woman on there and I'm sure she gave quite a few guys value for their subscription, as well as some STD's  ;D

Check the heading of the thread

Your response was just MORE deflection and obfuscation

You dodged my question about EM, etc.,

..and YES, I hope Sandro responds..

If you still think I accused you of being scammed for using EM after what I wrote, there's nothing more I can do to help you. You're just going to have to go through life thinking I personally insulted you.

If you only weren't SO quick to respond and actually READ what posters write in responses to you

1/ Yesterday I confirmed I don't hate you and today I confirm I am not insulted by you ..

2/ You still aren't reading the title of the thread or answering the question I put to you about EM, Luck lovers, etc.,

You can help yourself  - and other members - by pausing, taking a deep breath,  re-reading and responding appropriately

I'll try one more time. I never claimed you or anybody else were scammed by EM or Lucky-Lovers. It can't get simpler than that but if you didn't understand my answer the first time, I doubt the same answer would satisfy you. From now on, you're probably going to tell everybody I said you were scammed at EM. Fake News.

Sites that charge a period fee - typically monthly - rather than per letter/chat.

Hmm, that's what I thought you meant ...

Historically, having used Bride.ru, Elenasmodels.com and dmnotify.com -  all using such a model - I've never been scammed by a non existent person ...

For sure, there've been profiles where the ladies were less than honest about their age and using ancient photos - but they quickly got found out

I did no say they were ALL dodgy. Hasty reading unfortunately occurs rather frequently here 8).

Thank you, Sandro - I realise what you said ( partly ) - no hasty reading was involved ;)

I was (and am )  'taking issue' - as I understand sites need to make money - either by ads on the site OR a small fee.

'Partly' - MIGHT suggest quite few or not so many ( or very few ) and in MY case - I've never encountered a pay monthly model - from the likes of EM, Lucky-lovers, Russian Cupid or Dmnotify - though my experience is nearly 5 years out of date - though covering from 2001 - 2013

Then again, I might have been looking at the profiles and 'wiser' about my choice who to contact ....

Hi,
... is there a list of dodgy dating websites people have used?
Diversify.  I always liked to email one lady from each of a number of websites, and not worry too much about
how dodgy they were.  Avoid unsolicited emails on the dodgy ones.   One of the better ladies I met was from one
of the worst web sites.  Never joined a monthly site either, but that was starting back in 2000.   In those days, pay-per-address was also one of the options.  Things move a little faster now, or maybe not.   But I see you've been looking a year or two, and no trips yet?

globalpersonals.co.uk which is said to have created fake woman's profiles in the above links is owned by www.venntro.com which they say 1,000 customers (dating web sites) and 55 million registrations globally

If you are paying per letter, per chat RUN.

You will NEVER know who you are actually exchanging letters with or chatting to....

The incentive for agencies that provide woman to these sites is so great you are going to be talking to Boris not Elena, Nata or whatever woman name is all to make $$$. There are 40,000 woman in Ukraine working in the marriage agency business.

My guess is they don't believe in Krama in Ukraine..

I know personally someone who's Ukraine agency use to provide woman to 21 different sites back in the day, they are getting out of the business because it has become so sizzle.....

good luck in your search...

I read somewhere that CuteOnly was a good candidate and so on February 20 I registered a profile w/o actually paying for a subscription because I was interrupted. So I put off filling in the details, photos, and paying until a later time. Then forgot about it. Strangely four days ago I began to get notices from CO that I had messages waiting for me – without my details and photos. After login a pop up window told me “Read 40 messages in 2 minutes” “See Pricing” There was a list of women’s photos with their info blurred out. Oh well.
Life is just an empty room.
