Recently De-classified Soviet Jokes
« on: February 07, 2019, 11:32:09 AM »
Apparently the CIA does have a sense of humor.  Recently de-classified, as part of a huge data dump, are two pages of jokes that circulated through the CIA during soviet times.

Thought I'd include the article here for fun and a reflection back about how life was in Soviet times.

My favorite:

Someone happened to call the KGB right after a major fire.  "We cannot do anything, the KGB has just burned down." the man was told.  Five minutes later he called back and was told, again, that the KGB office had burned.  When he called a third time, the telephone operator recognized his voice and asked "Why do you keep calling back?  I just told you the KGB has burned down."

"I know," the man replied.   "I just like to hear it!"
