Good news is I can stop taking finasteride (Proscar) which helps retard growth of prostate.

Finasteride works by retarding conversion of testosterone into DHT (dihydrotestosterone) and it is DHT that causes prostate to grow.  DHT is more potent than testosterone in providing sexual desire also.  So my wife says:  Oh no !!

Bad news is finasteride also helps keep hair on head, so now my hair will probably thin.

Note:  In drug tests before approval, participants are asked to note any changes in their health/body they notice.

Proscar test patients noted growth of hair on their head.

So the developer started selling finasteride under brand name Propecia for control of hair loss.
