A "few" words about Dream-Marriage and SCAMS ...
« on: August 13, 2010, 09:01:36 PM »
I posted a somewhat lengthy diatribe against Dream-Marriage
today over at www.RWprimer.com, but since I just read that
"RWD is the biggest forum of its sort on the Internet", I figure
that I should make my case HERE and be done with it ...

I don't know how helpful this will be, really ... My intent was to
warn guys who might be "on the fence" about the legitimacy of
D-M -- as *I* certainly was, once -- but if that's already known
to members and visitors here, then this post may be for naught ...
Still ............ (BTW, I consulted "Jim's site" for "concrete proof") ...

Anyway, here's a slightly abbreviated version of what I posted at RWprimer:

I joined Dream-Marriage in February -- "Silver" plan, $10/month -- and while
I never tried to call or visit anyone, or to see their videos, or to (video) "chat",
I DID pony up about $50-$80 in order to WRITE these girls ...

The first day I joined, I had 180+ messages in my inbox!!!  And almost ALL of them
from gorgeous, half-naked 18-to-25-year-old girls!!!  While it eventually tapered off
to 30-50 messages a day (!), I always thought that SOMETHING was not quite right ...

Many of these messages had these gorgeous, half-naked girls professing their
INSTANT love for me -- or their instant desire to have SEX with me!!!  Now, I'm
not bad-looking, in a "cute" sort of way -- especially in the 2006 pic that I posted --
but I'm frickin' 46 YEARS OLD -- which is older than most of these "girls" FATHERS!!!

Flattering???  Yes INDEED!!!  But "not so much" when I started getting the exact
SAME messages from the exact SAME "girls" -- or, worse yet, from OTHER "girls"!!! --
and I began to realize that something was WRONG here ... And ALWAYS, the "girls"
beg and plead for me to write BACK -- because that's how D-M makes its MONEY!!!

Guys, if it seems "too good to be true" ............. Do I even have to say the rest???

I started sending my OWN "form letters" asking why gorgeous young women would
be writing ME -- and professing LOVE and DESIRE for me -- and I even started sending
my OWN  (PG-13) raunchy "sex-fantasy form letter" in reply to THEIR sex-fantasy letters ...
I just mimicked their unique "sex-talk" style -- "your hard male tool", "your little boy", etc. --
and to THAT, they essentially replied, "OOH!!!  Send me MORE!!!"  (More for D-M, that is!!!)

Right now, I'm only on there to admire the photos of the MODELS they use -- I mean,
really, how could they be anything BUT models??? -- and to read the occasional letter
from a "friendly face" -- i.e., a PAID WRITER who nonetheless has PAID ATTENTION
to what I've written in the past (and remembers what THEY'VE written in the past!)
Some of these writers are pretty good at what they do, and they can concoct some
elaborate -- and entertaining! -- STORIES and SPIELS ... So I guess, for $10/month,
I'm still on there for the (marginal) ENTERTAINMENT value -- since I don't watch TV!!!

But I absolutely WILL NOT be cheated out of MORE than $10/month!!!  :P

Kevin

P.S.  If I'm allowed to here, I'll refer to "Jim's site":

Kevin:

Your moral outrage is evident and even understood by most here. Indeed, many walked the same path as you in earlier days.

That said, get it out of your system and quickly move on with YOUR life. Your story is noted and added to the pile of stories which justify one of the most stringent Commandments, "Get the Agency out of your communications as quickly as possible!"

Spending any significant amount of time posting on every forum you can find just wastes your time and, unfortunately, has no effect on curtailing the agencies or the girls.

File this away in your experiences drawer and apply the lessons you have learned to the next phase of your search for an international long term relationship.

Pick and choose carefully among the advice offered and consider the source carefully. PM, Skype or email if you care to chat or discuss

"Moral outrage"?  I thought it was more like "righteous indignation" ...  :P

I've gotten it out of my system now, and RWD is the last (of the two)
forums in which I'll be posting that ... But I WILL just say that, while
I adhere to that Commandment, it's not even POSSIBLE to "get the
agency out of your communications" when the agency is SUCH a
scam that the "beautiful girls" don't WANT to bypass the agency
because it pays their BILLS!  ::)   (As IF there were actually any
"beautiful girls" writing letters at that agency in the FIRST place!)

Yes, if you read my intro, I'm currently in contact with a lovely
39-year-old lawyer from "Elena's Models" who happens to live in --
gulp! -- Odessa ... :-\   (Maybe I left that part out of the intro) ...

But thanks, uh, ECOCKS ... I appreciate your support ...  :D

First off, depending on how you look at your experience, you weren't exactly scammed you know.

On the contrary, I think you had a hell of a deal getting 180+ half naked photos of young women for a $10/mo membership the very next day. At that rate, you're getting far less than one cent/pic/day. Hugh Hefner charges a far higher premium than that and he even forces you to read his monthly tedious articles to boot. At best, how many photos you get from Playboy per month? 15? 20 at most?

It really is in how you look at things.

Besides, we recently just debated the very subject of the "U" word around here. As in Unsolicited emails. Many didn't realize, including myself, they are actually from sincere women. So you very likely did a great disservice to a sizeable number of sincere FSUW!

Shame, shame.... ;)

Welcome to the board, newkt! I hope you know I'm just chiding with you...

Thanks for the welcome there, GQBlues!   :D

You're right -- I WASN'T exactly scammed ... Or at least not
for the $10/month part ... (I'm not so sure about the $50-$80) ...

Wow, man, you must not be aware of the Playboy "Special Editions"!
They cost twice as much as the regular mag (newsstand), but they're
ALL photos with NONE of those tedious WORDS ... ;)  (Well, maybe a FEW) ...

Seriously, though, do you think all (or most of) those U's on D-M were from
sincere women?  As I described them?  I'm just a newbie here, but that seems
pretty hard to believe ... The same "girls" keep writing OVER and OVER, with NO
response from ME!  ::)  Or were ya just chiding with me?  ;D

I like my new RW community already! :)  And I also like your avatar and quotes ...  :P

Kevin

P.S.  I now have a collection of 1700+ "favorites" on D-M, each with up to 5 pix ...  :D

yea, not many people will see it over there.  Good that you have posted it here.

I don't know how helpful this will be, really ... My intent was to

D-M -- as *I* certainly was, once -- but if that's already known

Your experience could be very helpful for guys on the fence.

Many of our members have a feeling about Dream Marriage. Some have expressed their feelings.
I have had, as I recall, about five different girls who have worked for Dream Marriage give me the low down on how the system works. How they are paid, what they are paid, what they are required to do.  But I MUST add at this point in my writing this, NOT one of these women will allow me to quote her directly, to introduce her to our board, for her to write of her own experience. As such what I am writing is nothing more than hearsay and as such what I have written doesn't amount to a hill of beans until I can get one of these ladies to come forward.  One day I will. One day one of these women will move abroad, will feel safe in writing of her experience.  Until then I wait.  Also newkt you will notice my name is in red and as such my opinions and experience could be tainted.

Still ............ (BTW, I consulted "Jim's site" for "concrete proof") ...

AHHHH,  say no more!   That's all many of us need to see for concrete proof.

The first day I joined, I had 180+ messages in my inbox!!!  And almost ALL of them
from gorgeous, half-naked 18-to-25-year-old girls!!!

damn!   For $10 a month that sounds like a good deal!

Many of these messages had these gorgeous, half-naked girls professing their
INSTANT love for me --

Will never happen.   Well, almost never.   A good Russian/Ukraine woman will never tell a man she has never met that she loves him.  Many, many, scammers will do this without a second thought.

Now I will say, as with 99% of everything I say, there will be exceptions to everything. Whereas most good Russian/Ukraine women would never tell a man she has never met before she loves him, there have been exceptions. We have two such exceptions on this board, so it can happen. But of these many who expressed their love for you, probably not more than one or two of them actually meant it.

And ALWAYS, the "girls" beg and plead for me to write BACK -- because that's how D-M makes its MONEY!!!

Hey!  Can we get the owner, or CEO, of DM to come visit us over here?  I would like to ask about this.

And for a weeks all expense paid trip to there corporate office in Florida I bet I would even say how effecient I found there US office.

I started sending my OWN "form letters" asking why gorgeous young women would
be writing ME -- and professing LOVE and DESIRE for me -- and I even started sending
my OWN  (PG-13) raunchy "sex-fantasy form letter"

ohhhh, you naughty boy.

Hey, that's a lot less than cable.  Not bad.

Thanks for the comments, Jack!   ;D

I gather, from this and other posts of yours, that you run a RW dating/marriage agency?
Perhaps you're not allowed to say which ONE on this board, but could you PM me with it?

I titled this topic using the words "Dream Marriage" and "scam" so that others would be able
to Google for it using those words -- as *I* did, which resulted in me first visiting RWprimer
and then RWD, where I seem to have struck the "mother lode" of RW discussions ...

Were you being serious or sarcastic about "Jim's site"?  I don't really care -- it's just hard
for me to tell which ...

>> But of these many who expressed their love for you, probably not more than
>> one or two of them actually meant it.

>> Hey!  Can we get the owner, or CEO, of DM to come visit us over here?
>> I would like to ask about this.

Seriously, are you saying that there are ANY legit "girls" on D-M?
I'd assumed that the entire SITE was a big scam ... Am I wrong?
Are they not ALL "paid writers"?  If not, then how do you know?
Don't they ALL work on commission for letters sent and received?
Seriously, I'd like to know ...

And WHERE in Florida is their corporate office, anyway???

And yeah, I must be one of the ONLY people in the U.S.
who has NEVER had cable TV!!!   ;D

Hey ECOCKS!

Do you mean, the fantasy that there are ANY legit "girls" on D-M?

And thanks, OlgaH!

I'm still waiting to hear from Jack about the D-M office being in FLORIDA ...

And Jack, I saw that someone (OlgaH?) posted a "Der Spiegel" article a while back
about one of your site's "introduction parties" in Odessa ... Is that article basically true?

No, the fantasy that would lead someone to identifying 1700 favorites on a site like that.

It's just for the pix, ECOCKS, it's just for the pix ...  :P

And yes, I DO have fantasies about hot pix, which extend to Playboy and beyond ...  ;)

You always can look for a public information

Yes, OlgaH, I COULD, but I figured that Jack would be MORE than willing to tell me himself ...  ;D

Hey Jack,

Thanks for all the responses ... I tried clicking on your link there and got the old:

"Firefox can't find the server at www.catchyurmatch.net" ...

Server down, spelling error, or no such site?

I hope this isn't too personal, Jack ... You have a very "Anglo"-sounding name, but
your English seems a little bit OFF, and not in the ways common to native English
speakers ... Is your native language actually English?  Pardon me if that's personal ...  :)

>> The scam with DM is coming from Ukraine and Russia, not at their office in So. Cal, not at office in Florida

Mmmmmmmmmmmm -- Don't buy it ... At best, it seems like "Turn a blind eye to it" or "Don't ask, don't tell" ...

ooops, that's the site for Dr. Love in Odessa.   I'll send you a pm for my site.

My native language is Tigrinya.  I am still learning English.

Let me try to rephrase,....The scam with DM is coming from afflilates in Ukraine and Russia, not from there office in Southern California.  The scam with HRB is also coming from Ukraine and Russia not there office in Florida.

Yes, OlgaH, I totally agree ...

The Dream-Marriage organization in the U.S. is ENTIRELY responsible
for any fraud or scams committed by its FSU affiliate organizations ...

And, although D-M disavows any knowledge of fraud or scams,
I personally feel QUITE sure that their U.S. organization is
QUITE aware of what's going on overseas, and they're
just putting up a "front" by saying, "Who?  US???" ...
