Its a game we play here in England involving a bat and a ball. One guy whacks the ball in a similar manner to Baseball. Clearly Boethius is saying that is what these guys do for work!

Hehe that is a really funny term.   One of my daughters nickname is ‘rounder’ for reasons other than her character obviously!

It was a girls game when I was a kid .. like netball ...it's long been a 'joke' in Britain and Ireland that Baseball is Rounders for men...
