I have never used this airlines before. We need to schedule a cat in the cabin on the flight from Kyiv to Amsterdam. Delta gave me a number to call in Ukraine.
Also, I was not able to get seat assignments through Delta, so I need to do that. 3 of us will travel together.
KLM used to have a flight Kyiv/Amsterdam--but it seems this flight is no longer there.
Has anyone used UIA?

I use them frequently - more or less once a month for 3 years - since they have two direct flights to Ukraine daily from here.
Now I use airlines within Europe like a bus - cheap and accessible - so I have no idea how they act when you have special accommodations, but they have always got me to and from Ukraine without any hiccups, never been delayed if it wasn't the weather f*cking it up - read - HEAVY fog.
I joined their Panorama club and since I have put "some miles" there now, I am almost always bumped up to Business class, not that is is any real difference in their older planes though :)
They have always sorted out mishaps when they occured so I have nothing bad to say about them, but it is a coach service I use them as so I expect a seat and not much more than that they take me to where I bought the ticket. (100% success there)

KLM and UIA each operate multiple flights from KPB to AMS daily.
Either you need a new search engine or a new travel agent. For travel with pets you need a pet passport. KLM is more accommodating though. It does seem to be more difficult to get assigned seats via Delta/KLM on a flight between AMS & KBP. Becoming a member of the Panorama club is a good idea.

I have used. The assholes charged me for not printing out boarding passes. On board services are second rate - inferior to Belavia, S7, Aeroflot, etc. Would only use them for internal flights when there are no alternatives.
-
Ah, the old 'too late to print out your boarding pass", scam
That's UIA added to my avoid list - along with Ryanair
-
Not necessarily a scam. They state the extra fee for printing boarding passes at the airport on their website, and warn about it when you purchase tickets. Wizzair does the same thing.
Just print it out beforehand, or use their app for electronic boarding passes.

I don't appreciate getting stung for fees from a dishonest business model and fine print shenanigans. It increased the cost of my flights by almost 20%. I was so incensed that I stammered, "that's fucking bullshit!" to the UIA staff member, which is rare for me to speak to someone with such language.

Steve
I ordered a flight to Barcelona online from Glasgow and drove to the airport immediately
What was 'fair' to accept my order?
Ryanair thought like you, but a judge didn't ..As they never defended the case, after trying to move the location of the hearing

Moby,
I probably would have been caught unaware like you of the extra fee, but T let me know right away. She normally used the bargain airlines and found it unusual when the larger airlines didn’t charge the boarding pass printing fee.
One airline even charges an extra fee for a second carry-on, like a laptop case or purse (Wizz Air?)
She is used to it so I got used to it. Even with the add-on fees, couldn’t complain about 2 round trip flights to Bratislava for less than $90.

It is the going rate now with all add on pricing on airlines. There is 'new' basic economy on flights USA- Europe with no check-in luggage included in price. Can you imagine all people who are not aware of this get hammered at airport paying for luggage? Maybe they will charge for taking a '$hit'?

I don't intentionally book any flights with UIA but I am forced on codeshare flights into Kiev.
I heard a few months back about charging for printing boarding passes on UIA. As Steve mentioned use app for boarding passes.
