we will be travellling back later this year

however we will be staying for a month + so this is not suitable for us until it is extended beyond the 16 day limit

getting your flight times into the am @ the right entry point  is the key to make this one work for you imo

southern, slight correction, VOA's are given now 24/7

Given the cost of visa ( not this type)   it will be cheaper to exit and return to extend stay!
To get 180 days(  15 days X 12 entries =180 days)  =   $240 ( say in AUS$300ish)   is still  close to half what 12 month visa cost is !

I think Ukraine is doing right these past few years making it easier to get foreigners into their country. It discourages Russia from entering a messy war with lots of collateral damage that could involve foreigners.
Fund the audits, spread the word and educate people, write your politicians and other elected officials. Stay active in the fight to save our country. Over 220 generals and admirals say we are in a fight for our survival like no other time since 1776.

Aren't the visas on arrival still subject to the 90/180 rule?

As of April 16th, there are new cost for VOA's....... they have gone up to ~$100 usd( 2550 uah) for the 15 day visa, up from ~$20usd(510uah).

http://mfa.gov.ua/en/consular-affairs/entering-ukraine/visa-boryspil

Regular visa's have gone down from $85usd to $65usd. My numbers are pretty close.

From what I understand now there are quite a few countries able to get VOA's........many from India now.
