VP Candidates for 2020
« on: July 06, 2020, 11:03:04 AM »
As others have probably said . . .  Michelle Obama as VP would give Joe the best chance of winning.
And the left would go crazy over idea that then she could later be elected as Pres for 8 years.

Will Donald stick with Mike or switch to Nikki Haley ?
I think Nikki would give Donald a better chance of winning; particularly as Joe is going to pick a woman of color for VP.

Would Donald dump Mike?  Yes, I think he would.
FDR dumped Wallace.  Garner dumped FDR.
Would Mike be a good soldier and stand by with promise to get any cabinet post he wanted ?
Don't know for sure . . . but I would guess yes.

Will Donald actually run again ?
He doesn't like to lose; so maybe he would drop out if he really believes the polls that will exist in mid August.
Convention starts August 24th.

If Donald doesn't run; who will be Republicans candidate ?
At top of list would probably be Mike and Mitt.
Mitt would look pretty good physically beside Joe; and could probably out debate Joe
Mitt would raise more enthusiasm than Mike.
Maybe Marco or Ted.
Would be a big mistake to choose someone who isn't already nationally recognized, since not much time left.

I heard Trump heap praise on Pence for working with governors in the battle against COVID-19 and getting little sleep. Pence is quiet but he works hard. Nikki Haley is similar to Trump. Pence is opposite in Trump in many ways and that is a good thing. Who votes for a President based on the VP candidate anyway?

I doubt Michelle Obama will want to be VP. She's a very likable person but I think she wants a family life since her husband was already in politics all his life. She's not power hungry like Hillary.

The far left isn't thrilled with Biden but with the belief he's got one foot in the grave, getting a left wing radical for a VP may encourage those protestors to come out and vote.

That's because she never got involved in politics and whenever she
did, it blew up in her face. She was never proud of being an American
until.................

She screwed up the school lunch program. She did a stupid hash tag
return our girls. She is popular because she stayed out of it. If she
gets into it then she will have to take stupid liberal views on things
that are impossible to defend.

He is running, he announced a year ago. You are asking questions as if it's
late 2018 rather than 4 months before an election. NONE of your questions
apply at this late date.

She has plenty of company - not a small number today  express the same sentiment.  Sad!

She will not have to defend anything, because the people who are enamoured by her for herself are also enamoured by those liberal views.

Sure Donald can throw things at her, but all she has to do is stick with the game plan that they will put forth and ignore him.  She is personally liked by over half the voters.  Donald is not personally liked by even half the voters.

No, my questions DO apply at this late date.

I know what he announced and what his plans were and currently are.
But we are in uncharted territory with covid and the economy, and with his popularity sinking daily.

He could very well take a graceful way out saying he was stepping aside for the good of the party and to help bring the country together.

I do think he has done good things for the country and can continue doing good things.

But he still may decide to step aside.

Forget Michele Obama, she has never won an election. Senator Duckworth would make a much candidate.

Not relevant.

Why would Biden look for a VP? Remember a few months ago he said he was running for the US Senate and said to check him out. He also said if you don't like what you see, vote for the other Biden.

The liberal news media floated that rumor in order to suppress
conservative voters. It's not graceful or for the good of the party
or the country to step aside at this late date. The GOP would have
to put forward a candidate that nobody voted for. The Dem mantra
would be selected not elected.

Pence has been the strongest, most active and involved VP that I personally have had the opportunity to witness in my lifetime, bar none. Trump would torpedo his campaign to even consider another.

For Biden, I'd bet money he picks Susan Rice. They both have plenty to lose as the lights  slowly come on and the cockroaches start running.

Susan Rice VP? (not a joke)

Well, first off, let's not kid ourselves into thinking Joe Biden possess either the authority or faculties to pick a VP. He isn't even capable in determining where he is half the time, or what he's running for.

That said, I maintain Michelle will make the perfect liberal stooge. Susan Rice have too much baggage from the Benghazi-gate, Russia-gate, etc...well, okay...I suppose these can make her the consummate numbnut.

You seem to be over looking the insanity of the mind of the liberal left. Benghazi was the direct result of a spontaneous reaction to a movie and not a planned attack. They do on the surface believe that thus, Susan Rice would be the perfect  VP choice for Biden. He, early on pigeon hole himself into a woman VP and hinted she'd be black. He needs Rice for cover both his own ass, Obama's and Hillary's.  I'm still hopeful the Obama administration will be uncovered as the most corrupt administration in history that it was. Michele IMHO is being floated as a ruse

Biden could sign up Oprah as his VP. She has a huge following, is better
on camera, stage and the stump.

Only 26% of the country are liberal compared to 38% conservative. We
get it shoved in our faces 24 hours per day so people think there are
more of them. If you watched TV every day you would think that a
third of Americans were gay or trans.

The Democrats raced too far to the left. Left wing lunatics opening
Marxist started riots, burned and looted and Democrats embraced
their antics. Lefty push polls show Trump behind Biden by miles
and he's not. Biden is suffering from mental decline and it's
obvious.

Somebody is pulling the strings and they have been quietly running
Susan Rice's name up the flagpoll. Team Obama has their fingerprints
all over this.

Joe Biden isn't going to win and the Obama's aren't going to send
Michelle out there to lose. She has a legacy now as a winner and
apple pie. Neither she nor Barrack want to be vice anything getting
sent to third world funerals or listen to Senators pontificate about
air conditioner filters or pine beatles. Vice Presidents are just like
first ladies. Lots of boredom and none of the glory.

Remember if she is VP Barry is 2nd husband. That's quite a demotion.
