Invite for Belarus visitors visa
« on: October 31, 2016, 10:15:06 AM »
I am planning a trip over New Years to visit my girl in Belarus. I am trying to use a travel agency to help with the visitors visa. In particular they take care of the invitation and submission to the embassy in the US. A couple of folks here have used Cinderella Travel (In Queens, NY) and GoToRussia (Atlanta). I have left numerous voice mails with both companies without a call back.

Does anyone who has gotten a Belarus tourist visa used another organization? I have time to get this done, but don't want to get down to the wire on it.

Any pointers would be appreciated.

Thanks,
HDL

AS I tell everyone, to get best info on country/city,  join a trip advisor forums and ask questions.

I traveled to Belarus with my current girlfriend a few years ago. She got her dad to fill out the required invitation form and small fee from the government. He mailed this form to us and I included it with my passport that I sent to Washington DC (Belarus embassy) when I applied for my tourist visa online. It was pretty simple apart from having to wait for the govt invitation form from her dad. The visa came back within a few weeks approved with a shiny new visa in my passport.

Can you get your girl to get the invitation form from the govt?

Thank you Hammer and LAMan. I finally got someone on the phone from GoToRussia and they were very helpful. My girl will possibly need to go to the tourist bureau to fill out a form, but it will be requested by the Belarussian embassy/consulate, so no mailing required on her end.

Appreciate the replies.

Good luck, hope all goes well. I really enjoyed my stay in Minsk. I recommend going to the fortress at Brest if possible.

You're welcome.

I can vouch for those folks as I have used them many times and not just for Russia. They always come through. Not the cheapest but you get 1st class service at a reasonable price

Agreed. This is not something that I want to use the cheapest service on.  :D

Belarus has changed their visa stance a little. Up to 5 days is allowed with no visa as of January 9th.  Here is the link.
