17 years today
« on: August 16, 2016, 10:00:09 AM »
Today is the 17th anniversary that I married my best friend, confidant, companion, etc. from Ukraine.  Have we had ups and downs, of course, name a marriage that does not, but it is certain I would do it again and would encourage others to do the same.  Our daughter (no she is not 17, she is my step daughter that I adopted) just got married a few months ago and we look forward to grandchildren.  I am a happy man.

Sailor 291,

Congratulations my friend,. My wife and I just celebrated our 13th anniversary..........August 08, 2016. We "are" best friends.......and that is the key.........a most overlooked quality. We love the same things..........art, culture, swimming, SUP paddle boarding, snorkeling, travel.................but mainly..........we "like" each other.
Love is a tricky word.......statement. But my wife and I "like" each other.........a very underrated word.........".lilke"............... "Love".......yes we "love" each other     I have no doubt.  my in my life time i see many folks who love.....but who do not seem to........."like".........their partners. In my opinion......."Like".........is the key to a successful marriage. I think "love".......follows "like"............just my opinion.

Congratulations,

Cant B & Mrs. B

Congratulations to you and Mrs. Sailor.

17th Anniversary is a long, long time.  I guess you were in the first wave  to venture to Russia in search of romance.  And you found it, and have been a happy man ever since.

Thanks for returning to share your happiness.  I wish you many more.

Sailor291,

A very large congrats !!! I remember on the old RWG when naysayers were asking:........"where are the guys with marriages that have lasted 5 or 10 years ? Yet......I have been married to my RW for 13 years.........and you.........17 years !!!!!!! This can work......and you are proof.

Congrats,
