Ok, help me!!!!

I want to post some images.

They sit tantalizingly on my desk top.

The ability to "attach" has been deleted from the posts.

Dragging them into the post and hitting the Mona Lisa key does not work.

I have downloaded the images to my facebook page. What now???

I have a secretary at work who does things like this for me - but I don't feel comfortable asking her to help me with this particular task.

Cheers

Anthony

I've never tried posting photos here from another site but if you have Windows Paint, open your photos there and resize them to about 20% or less. The megapixels on cameras these days are huge and most websites these days don't allow photos that big.

Edited to add: I just noticed that you are not allowed to post photos with the attachment feature anymore.

Fund the audits, spread the word and educate people, write your politicians and other elected officials. Stay active in the fight to save our country. Over 220 generals and admirals say we are in a fight for our survival like no other time since 1776.

psst.. we had to limit the file sizes allowed while we handled some webserver business, that business is finished, and the limits have been increased to previous settings

BUT.. please be aware photos straight from your camera are usually extremely large files and not optimized at all for use on the internet. I use a free program for Windows, called Irfanview that has a handy "save for web" feature to make the file sizes smaller with no noticeable loss in quality, they simply load faster. Better for everyone.

It's really a pretty powerful program that can do all sorts of stuff to image files, no ads or anything. it's just free.

SAVE THE BINVIROMENT !!..

Ooops    While I did restore the file size limitations to their original settings.. I neglected to actually enable attaching..  You should see a "Browse" button when you are creating a post...  since my internet service provider is just sooo great, my little tribute to them...

But again.. kindly optimize your images first, otherwise every page that has images on it  gets very slow to load which makes me look bad

I have downloaded the images to my facebook page. What now???
If your images are on FB - or anywhere else on the Internet - open the page they're on in your browser, move the mouse over an image you want to post, click the right-hand mouse button and you should see a 'context menu' appear with various choices: select the one that says "Copy Image Address", or similar.

Now go back to the browser page with your RWD post,  right-click again and select "Paste": you should see the image URL ('Net address) appear inside your post. Select it and press the "Insert Image" icon at top left. Clicking the "Preview" button will show the result after finishing the post.

For a locally stored image, now that Dewed has reinstated the "Attach" function you can press the "Choose" button at bottom right, navigate through your local storage medium until you find the image name and click it. You'll see the image appear at the bottom of your post only AFTER you "Post" your post.

Hi Sandro,

I just finished following the advice received from JayH (which has worked it seems ))))).
Just returned to my messages and see you have gone to a lot of trouble also to help me out. Thanks a ton. I will file the information because I am certain I will have need for it for future FB downloads along the way. Good lad.

And let me just add - if you ever suffer a fractured orbit or zygoma - I own you one))))

Cheers

Shit,

NADA!!!! Don't you dare shake your head and call me stupid.

So I want to finish my little Odessa story - THE CLIMAX is the tentative title.

And want to insert about 4 pics in the text.

I have a MAC.
Went to FB, clicked on image, under OPTIONS - I chose "get link". Little envelope icon appeared.
Dragged to desktop.
Dragged to my message box text. Clicked on MONA.
Pressed POST.
Said shit and bum.

Cheers

A/O

To me the easiest way to link to out side I net images
is just to go to the website they are on,
right click on the image.
then select *copy image URL*

Paste that here like so:
http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-krfdVeM4c0w/T8T_bQNMrII/AAAAAAAAAFw/nsRhPcJojcY/s1600/Easy-Button.jpg

Then type the fairly universal forum img code before (and after) the pasted URL

You should get this result.

The code is:      img  photo url here      /img
but both img and /img need bracketed by []  []

(sounds a bit complex ,it's not)

IS IT SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE FACT I USE A MAC?

I CAN JUST DO THE POST WITH THE ATTACHMENTS AT THE END. BUT WOULD BE BETTER TO INLINE THEM.

Where is that story? On your PC or on the RWD site?

And thanks for relaying your story. You seem to have learned from your experience, and are open to advise on the subject :)

so here goes
Quote from: jone
"Hey, here is my Skype address.  If we are serious, use it.  If not, nice knowing ya!  Adios!"  Now she is not getting paid to talk to you.  If she is serious, she will.  If she is not, you will know.

The above straight and simply advice is absolutely the way to reasonable use pay per letter or pay per chat websites to meet FSU women.
In general such sites are simply best avoided.Thats the simplest and best answer as the very  business model itself encourages the local affiliate agencies to be unscrupulous.
If a man still chooses to utilize them , the best way would be to live there, in a city long term.
Jone's advise above is the minimum standard you should set if  choosing to meet women from such sites.but it certainly isn't fool proof,it is merely a tool to help eliminate a good percentage of those paid to correspond/chat with you. It just cleans out a good portion. Meeting them and discerning sincerity as well as compatibility is the same as ever of course
So long before meeting her the first time, you should have been away from the agency site and talking on the phone, skype, personal emails etc.
You can use your own translator if needed.
Also considering you met her several times, to use a pay per letter or chat  agency site for communication after meeting is just seldom going to end well.It will almost certainly be a  waste of your time, your emotions, and your money.

Being  a man with a large age gap marriage, I can't knock another mans interest in some woman much younger, with out being a tad hypocritical.  :D
I still have to advise the best approach is to stay in a very realistic age range,
even if i dint listen to my own advice.
:)
