The Zone A.K.A. Chernobil Exclusion Zone
« on: June 05, 2023, 07:37:17 PM »

this movie is all about Ukraine and the Zone (yet made before chernobil occured)
stalkers are real people, who actually exist in Ukraine
they're in a cult that believe Ukraine is going to be delivered
by something/someone in the zone
cult pilgriims go on pilgrimmages in the zone
by following the flow of streams inside the zone
there's even a store with an ATM in the zone now

the exclusion zone has a "bad feel" to it
almost as bad as Podil in kyiv
wouldn't trust any kinda messianic figure that emerged from there
just warnin ya'll

the zone itself however  is VERY cool!
in the old days, you could pan for radioactive isotopes in the tributaries of the Desna river inside the zone with just a regular old gold pan, and use an eye dropper to drop the tiny silvery gray grains of reactor core into a lead bottle
and nobody would have any idea about what the phuque you were doing and why the phuque were you doing it!!!!
good phuqueing times those were!!!!
now AI is gonna take over EVERYTHING! of importance
and human initiative will be obsolete and inefficient
humans are gonna be worth LESS in the future
than they are now

all incels need now is just money...
but it's gonna be MUCH harder to make this money
when you're competing in the labor market against machines

I never thought Podil had a bad feel.

The better half spent six months (maximum allowed) in the Chernobyl' zone, in a second round of army service.  It was illegal to draft him, but he went anyway.  The purpose of this was to break our marriage, as women routinely left men who had been in Chernobyl, over fears of future progeny.  Anyway, he had seen Stalker (one of the four people in the theatre, at the time - two of whom were there, he said, to make out). When he was walking around the exclusion zone (totally open to him), he said it was almost exactly like in the movie.  He meant the physical devastation.

I haven't seen Stalker, but he tells me it is very much a spiritual movie, about societies where anything spiritual is destroyed.
After the fall of communism, the biggest mistake Boris Yeltsin's regime made was not to disband the KGB altogether. Instead it changed its name to the FSB and, to many observers, morphed into a gangster organisation, eventually headed by master criminal Vladimir Putin. - Gerard Batten

I have been to so so many of the killing sites in Ukraine that I became afflicted by an acute sensitivity to them...
then when I went to other places, like in Poland, or in Israel, I felt the same sensation there as well

it's what I like about the USA, I don't have that feeling here, just nature with nothing underneath it
the earth hasn't been stained by death yet, like in Ukraine

you can tune yourself to its frequency
and you'll feel it all over Ukraine
it makes me uneasy
it feels like death is looking over your shoulder
and it even has a will and a hidden, sinister purpose
Edgar Allen Poe wrote a description of it
he saw it to

Podil was never the site of mass killings.  It was generally the trading post/trading centre of Kyiv.

Dnipro River.  :)

A lot of bad things occurred all over Ukraine.  The right bank of the river is not particularly special in this regard.

Bad things occurred on most European soil, and even North American.  We are a planet of predators.

no comparison between north America and Ukraine
in Ukraine I felt "it" soon as I de-planed
where I live in the USA - nothing but nature
i'd have to go quite aways south to Mexico to get to a place with a bad vibe to it
I have a feeling you don't really know what I'm talkin about, cuz you haven't experienced it yourself
I assume artistic license with spellings

No, I do know what you're talking about.  I had the same feeling in Los Angeles.  In Ukraine, the deaths are in war, or political theories in practice, rather than sexual deviancy/drugs/money.
