« on: July 10, 2018, 10:06:20 AM »
This is a question >>specifically<< about Moscow women, as they are a different beast then Russian women.

In your opinion, do Muscovite women have an aversion to conflict in a fading relationship?

What I mean is that American women, if they don't like you anymore, they say, hey "lets just be friends".

Whereas this Muscovite 20 something that I am dating appears to not like me anymore, but she just wont come out and say "lets be friends".

My Muscovite guy friend says that the girls he dates in Moscow just stop returning his calls and texts.

Ukrainians and general Russians women were never cold like this.  Muscovites are more opaque and "hetri" - cunning.

In a very male dominated culture, I sense that Muscovite women are taught as children and by their friends to use men as resources. This twenty-something doesn't want to lose me as a resource, and she knows that I am more likely to help her if there is still a romantic connection.

gozpedy
not exclusive AT ALL to Moscow women

look if a Russian chick is "in to you"
there will be absolutely NO DOUBT in your mind
if you have doubt, then you're a "useful donkey" to her
and you will be asked to carry stuff
and that's it....

Many FSU women do that. Once they rule a guy is not going to be their man, they cut them off completely. Don't take it as an insult. They just don't want to spend hours or days explaining to an overly emotional guy who doesn't understand the meaning of "no" why they don't want to be with him.

Thought Muscovites, male as well as female, tend to overcome their (less fortunate) compatriots in terms of education and finances, I have never heard of us having specific behavioral patters like the one you described

Instead of seeing in my reply the things that aren't there, you'd better google up:
- official statistics re. median salary in Moscow re. median salary in RF in general;
- official statistics re. number of people with university degrees in Moscow vs. people with university degrees in RF in general.

In a very male dominated culture
Wow, I rarely visit these days and just happened to trip over this one - any schmuck who marries a Russian woman thinking this is true or even remotely close to fact is in for one hell of a life and it won't end well.

"In a very male dominated culture"

I just happen to be a "schmuck" as you say who married a Russian Woman and I don't THINK it's true!
I KNOW it's true!

because I lived there 3 years and I have eyes and ears that allowed me to observe all aspects of Russian life....
it's a male dominated society, Russian mothers dote on their sons...
women have much less power than in the west

men are at the top of the dating game in Moscow and NOT women
attractive, successful, wealthy men in Moscow are the ones being chased and not doing the chasing like in the USA

do I think Russian women are "pushovers"
hell no!

here's my Russian wife's reaction to when I left a mess in the kitchen
she tracked me down in the basement
and made me go upstairs and clean it up!!!
THIS WAS a wild Russian woman who I have now tamed...
and the tiger is now a purring kitten...
nice...

For the most part in general Russian life, the women folk run the show and when “she” marries and moves to the west, ultimately she’ll expect to do the same, sooner or later.

oh yeah!
best approach is to cede control of the house to your Russian wife
but keep your own territory
I have a man cave basement/home office
I get along very well with my Russian
I just have to remember not to leave a mess somewhere or clean it up if I do
a small price to pay for what I get in return...
based on my experience, TOTALLY prefer Russian over American...
best thing you can ever do with your Russian
is to convince her she should take culinary classes....
cuz you're gonna get tired of borscht
word!

I'm not a Moscow woman but there are only a few women of any stripe
that comment here frequently. I don't think that you will find a big
difference in culture or customs of Moscow women being different
than St Petersburg women.

There are every type of personality under the sun in the FSU, Moscow
included. You can find sensitive girls, sweet girls or girls who will sell
your kidneys and leave you in a ditch for a new cell phone.

My advice is to just move on and find a girl with good character that
best fits you, your personality and situation and don't worry about the
ones who don't.

I told my wife she is free to decorate the house inside and out anyway she wants. She picks out the furniture she wants and arranges them any way she wants. The only thing she can't touch is my room where I work from sometimes and harass people on the internet all the time. It can be messy by her standards. Once her mom came in and cleaned my room. They expected me to be very happy and thank them. I was pissed. I told them although it's a mess, I understand the mess. They shuffled all my documents around into different places so I had to relearn where everything is at.

I did...
stick to the facts...
which are OBVIOUS...
and I most CERTAINLY
know WTF I'm talking about...
but DO YOU?

what's freaking worthy of ridicule is a woman pushing 50 yr old who thinks she's going to find a Western sponsor
who will give her a free ride to a life in the West
and that this person is going to be sympathetic about her views of her "independence"

so thank you for pointing this out, which I'm sure is what you met by your delayed post
because otherwise it would be just a totally dumb ass ridiculous thing to say

hey!
what's that behind ya?
smack!
gotcha!!

now gitcha ass outta here BOY...

You can't know this as a fact, krimster.  There is a woman who posts here very rarely, who met her husband through a forum.  She was around fifty, give or take, when they met (I can't recall offhand).  He's close to her age.  She moved to the US to be with him, and I assume, as she's still married, that they are happy together.

Like that woman, all Olga needs to find is that one man who likes her personality, and isn't so invested in ego that he must find a woman decades younger to prove whatever it is immature/insecure/small dick*d men need to prove, mostly to themselves.

anecdotes are nice....
some are even lovely...
but...
if YOU want to play the lottery, because YOU read about a lottery WINNER
then YOU are already a LOSER...

a quick glance at the statistics of age distribution for marriage...
shows Olga has a better chance of getting to the West
by hopping over the Mexican border with a group of other immigrants

how many women over age 50 are getting sponsored to the West
by their online boyfriends
who, of course, will be VERY sympathetic to Olga’s need for autonomy
after they just paid ALL her travel and visa expenses.....

any dewd,
no matter how much of an idiot he is
after he chats with Olga a few times
is NOT going to spend thousands of $$$$
to fly her to his country
and that’s....
a damned FACT!

and in conclusion...
do Muscovites harbor feelings of большое самомнение, важничанье, самомнение?
does a Russian bear make kakashka in the woods?
kanyeshna...

according to statistics
Olga will die alone in Moscow
about two decades from now...
and that to is a FACT

the time will go by QUICKLY Olchik
you are much closer to this exit
than an exit in the West
and you get closer to this one and farther away from the other
each day...

the koshka sees the misch
and the koshka smiles....

According to the survey conducted here, statistically, most WM-FSUW marriages fail.  So should that huge risk be pointed out to each poster who comes here for information?

Statistics are not destiny.

For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.

"Statistics are not destiny."

Statistics are a pure numeric representation of reality
and reality is destiny
statistics says she has a very low and declining chance of success...
MUCH, MUCH lower than the success rate of WM/FSUW marriages

if she ever got that far, the longevity of her marriage would 'FER SURE be an issue with Olchik as well...
but it hasn't a snowball's chance in hell, of EVER getting that far...
seriously, after a few email exchanges or chats with Olga
even Bee Farmer would say "paka"
and Bee Farmer's neighbors have had to lock up the live stock...
because of his depraved predations...

why would even a TOTAL FREAKIN' IDIOT choose an old prickly cactus
when he can just as easily get a soft, lovely rose...

I've PERSONALLY seen 60+ yr old American dewds
with trophy blonds and redheads and brunettes in their 20s
and there was nothing remarkable about these dewds AT ALL...
all just average dewds....

"market forces"
this is the exchange rate
in that market

When I married, and in the years before the collapse of the USSR, there were a total of 3 marriages between Canadians and non Jewish Soviet citizens in the entire Soviet Union.  That's in seven years.  There were less than 5 marriages between Americans and non Jewish Soviet citizens.  Of those marriages, two were between Soviet men and foreign women - my marriage, and one between  an American woman of Russian descent and a Russian man (they had a child).  Ours were the only such marriages in a period of over a decade, in a country with a population of over 270 million souls.  In both our cases, the men were denied exit visas by Soviet authorities.

Statistically, in the approximately seven decades preceding my marriage, the Bolsheviks had liquidated a little over 10% of its population, and jailed even more.

By your analysis, I should have given up all hope, never married my husband, or divorced him when his exit visa was denied because statistically, the chance of us living together was practically zero.

If what you say about your marriage is true, statistically, particularly to a man married to a RW, you should be divorced by now.

I don't think statistics hold much weight in matters of the heart.

I invited an FSUW here back before she was married. I knew her from
lucky lovers chat. She married a forum guy and they are still together.
That's about all I can say because she values her privacy.

I will say that I've seen a photo of Ms Mouse and that she is thin and
cute and she is definitely not for everyone.

Back to the original argument. . . . . . .

I think that the male dominated society that Krim was talking about was
in relation to work. A lot of companies pay men more than women. My
wife was one of the highest paid women in her company, but among the
men she wasn't anywhere near the top.

They advertise positions where the woman must be from the ages of
X to Y or must be very attractive. In those respects I would consider
it to be male dominated.

fairy tales can come true
they can happen to you....
scooby dooby do....

but...
an 18 yr old Canadian girl ain't a 50 yr old Russian babooshka
other than that "small" detail...

"I will say that I've seen a photo of Ms Mouse and that she is thin and
cute and she is definitely not for everyone. "

sure, if the photo was taken during the Soviet period....
but a recent photo?
color me skeptical...

"not for everyone"

THIS is my damned point...
there's a BIG reason why she hasn't hooked a visa sponsor by age 50
but it has NOTHING at all to do with her appearance...
it's what's inside

so yeah, you "well adjusted" single senior citizen aged dewds should JUMP on the chance to meet a 50 year old prickly feminist
cuz there's NONE of those now in your country, right?

you should leave the hot looking mid-twentyish trophy wives for the guys who suffer from masculine insecurity like me...
the comfort that your moral superiority will provide you
will be the ONLY comfort that you're gonna get from that relationship...
and childless, menopausal women are just a real BLAST to hang out with...

and what would you want to bet that Olga will expect her hypothetical visa sponsor to also pay for shipping her comfort animal to her new host country
a scruffy Russian cat riding an American donkey is about the funniest thing you'll EVER see...
the cat is definitely the SMARTER of the two animals

None of which changes my original point.

There are men who posted here in the past who said they did not seek age disparate marriages, for various  reasons.  Not every man thinks like you do.
