as much as I don't like Trump and agree a lot of his followers are redneck racist, his son in  law in an orthodox Jew and his daughter converted to Judaism. And he has always been good with Israel

I don't like Trump, 74 million people voted for him in 2020. Every single one of them is exactly the same.

Well now even my dad does not like Trump, he just thinks he is a lesser evil and he "lowered taxes"
This is so funny considering my dad was working in California as a software developer until 2019 and made lots of money,
so I showed him that in his case Trump INCREASED his taxes because he no longer could deduct California State tax,
only 10K. In my case my former employer Uber went public in 2019 and I made over 1mil that year by selling vested RSUs. I computed for my dad just how
much MORE taxes my husband and I paid because of his favorite Trump!
My dad then said it wasn't Trump's fault, it was California fault LOL

I said that as far as I am concerned if not for Trump I would have paid 1000s less taxes that year and all years after he
changed the tax law, because my husband and I could not deduct at least 70K worth of California state tax each of these years (over 100K tax in 2019) , only 10K :(

PS: my dad came to US in 2005 on work visa and both he and my mom worked in high tech and became Republican-voting US citizens by the time of 2016 election :)
they both LOVE, LOVE Fox News and get a lot of their opinions from them :D

Get Out the Vote for Ukraine
Livestream Tonight
Timothy Snyder
Oct 15

We are three weeks from the US presidential election. What happens to American democracy bears on the future of Ukraine, just as Ukrainian efforts to preserve democracy have mattered to America. On a livestream tonight with Liev Schreiber I will share my thoughts about all this and urge Americans to vote and to get out the vote.

Although we take Ukrainian resistance for granted, it has been the major sign of democratic resilience in the 2020s. Ukrainian resistance makes our normality (or whatever this is) possible. Had Ukraine failed, the world would be a far darker place. Thanks to Ukrainians, who are handling a titanic crisis essentially on their own, Americans have been able to recover from economic collapse and a global pandemic, and hold an election.

For my views on the relationship between the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the American presidential election, tune in to the livestream organized by Get Out the Vote for Ukraine #gotvforukraine tonight, 15 October, at 8:00pm US eastern time (links below!).

Olga, your father is correct.

California imposes the huge tax.

If the California tax were not there, then there would be no effect on your Federal Income taxes.

And Presidents do not control tax policy.

In the U.S. Constitution, tax policy changes must be initiated in the House of Representatives. This requirement is rooted in the Origination Clause (Article I, Section 7, Clause 1) of the Constitution, which states:

"All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills."

The Origination Clause gives the House of Representatives the exclusive authority to introduce legislation related to taxes and revenue. This is because the House is considered closer to the people, as its members are directly elected every two years.
The Senate, however, can amend tax bills that originate in the House. The Senate often adds its own provisions or changes to House-initiated tax legislation, which can then lead to negotiations between the two chambers.
Over time, the interpretation of what constitutes a "bill for raising revenue" has been broadened. While the House retains the exclusive right to introduce tax legislation, the Senate has sometimes used its amendment power to make significant changes to tax policy.

In practice, most major tax bills are negotiated between the House and Senate, but the formal process still starts with the House of Representatives.
A beautiful woman is pleasant to look at, but it is easier to live with a pleasant acting one.

California always imposed this huge tax yet before Trump I paid less taxes. Then came Trump, my taxes
went up. cause and effect :-p

Really? Then why do both Trump and Kamala make promises as to what they will do with our taxes?

hot damn!

Well, the eagle's been flyin' slow
And the flag's been flyin' low
And a lotta people sayin' that America's fixin' to fall
Well, speakin' just for me
And some people from RWD
We've got a thing or two to tell you all
This lady may have stumbled
But she ain't never fell
And if the Russians don't believe that
They can all go straight to hell

yeeee-hah

taxes?
I used to pay a lot, more than half my income
but...dear gentle readers of RWD
any profits in a corporation registered in the Isle of Man, on profits dervived from outside the Isle of Man, are TAX FREE
and the owner of the corporation can be another corporation, registered in another tax haven
and conduct yur business in euros or sterling
and the IRS knows nothin about it

how else ya gonna sell stuff to Russians, they's all sanctioned
ya think I'm gonna deal with Альфа-банк АО?  or now the Chinese banks, oh no..no..no

what I SAY
and what I DO
are two different things

imagine the issue of how to explain this money to the IRS
not even a "rookie" would make that mistake

you can be pretty sure that taxes are gonna go up
don't bother me a'tall

i'm tired to....

I stopped being an employee, about 25 yrs ago
cuz I got tired of being ripped off on taxes, the freakin, quarterly estimated payments, used to really tick me off, don't underestimate or pay a fine

so I did my "bizness" outside the USA and became a keepitalist
I just don'like the ones who make their money here and don't pay, cuz they got special priviliges, that were denied me
that ain't fair a'tall now is it...

WTF is goin on?
the good 'ole boys on RWD, is actually anti-Trump?
who knew this?
i'm actually kinda freakin out right now, that's how surprised I am
I hope this isn't "some kinda trick" and ya'll are actually "playin me"

Liev Schreiber is a bear jew, just like me
I always felt they based his Ray Donovan character off of me
maybe I'm wrong...

after my wife watches Ray Donovan, I take my shirt off, and she jumps on me and has her way with me
I do this for her

You still have no clue.

You are confusing the presentation of facts with like or dislike.

You are still not realizing that the individual politician does not matter.
It is the party policies and programs that matter.

"you are confusing the presentation of facts with like or dislike."

uh...what?
see. I knew there was "a gotcha"

Trump IS the Republican platform...
it's Trump from Top to bottom, left to right, all Trump, all the time

and we was doin SO GOOD, please don't spoil "the mood"

it's like yur with a beautiful woman, and suddenly she lets out the loudest fart ya ever heard in yur life, basso profundo
TOTALLY kills the mood, and she's embaressed, and if ya laugh, she'll get mad as hell

though it's FUNNY
kinda like what you said

but ya ain't gonna be gettin any after the fart, trust me

try some of that Simethicone which is a medication used in the management and treatment of flatulence.
wot it does see, is breakup the big fart bubble into a bunch of leetle ones
that you can turn into leetle "silent" farts

but Trump's...squeek....policies...squeek....

Let Us Rejoice Together in Song

would ya like to swing on a star
and be better off financially than ya' are
or would ya rather be a librul?
a librul is an animal with food on his face
his border control is a national disgrace

ya know ML, I heard this same old song and dance already

Early voting has started in the State of Georgia with a much bigger turn out than in previous Presidential Election Campaigns:

http://www.euronews.com/2024/10/16/record-turnout-reported-in-us-battleground-state-of-georgia-during-first-day-of-early-voti

Always tended to go Republican but not last time. A crucial state for Kamala Harris to win which could make winning overall difficult for Trump if she won Georgia. As the article states a third of the population of Georgia are black and it's though many turned out last time voting for Biden. So with Harris being black I would assume they will do this time. Whether white voters didn't turn out in great enough numbers to vote for Trump before is another possibility. We'll see what happens on Election Night with the results.

after our "break-through" yesterday, where it was revealed that Trump is universally detested on this board
it gave me "a weird feeling"
I didn't know, what that weird feeling was...until now
I think it's an emotion called "HOPE"

gimme s'more hopium, please suh, might I have s'more?

are we having fun yet?

PS
does anybody know if this story is real?

it's kinda hard for me to believe, which, of course means, it's likely true....WTF?

friends...
in these troubling times...didja ever ask yurself, "Well, how did I get here"

fer yur viewing pleasure

Exhibit A
how the USA legalized propaganda (see pic)

Exhibit - B
the genesis of how corporate America corrupted American politics (see link http://scholarlycommons.law.wlu.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1000&context=powellmemo)
the infamous Powell Memo which led to the oligarchy spending billions on political foundations - designed to influence elections and American culture for their benefit
project 2025, aka The Heritage Foundation was created out of this memo
so is Fox News "Fair and Balanced" the exact same quote in the memo, written in 1971
these two things are the fundamental reason, that we are where we are today

money corrupts, absolute money, corrupts absolutely

in a couple of days we'll know who dumped DJT stock, if it's Trump, he has an SEC violation, but if he's cashing out, it means he thinks he's gonna lose, and he's grifting every cent he can between now and then

Trump has to try not to fall apart over the next 3 weeks, I'm not sure it's possible for him to do so, based on his latest rally performance, when instead of talking sharks and batterys, he just waved his arms and "danced" or whatever ya call that thing he does...bizarre as hell...
it'd be like Kamala Harris instead of talkin her economic or social agenda, at a democratic ralley did her rendition of swan lake

we shall see...

1) To vote for individuals is really, really stupid and indicates a zero knowledge of how the political system in USA operates.

2) Those who switch votes back and forth among parties based on their like/dislike of individual candidates demonstrates they don't even have a political philosophy and shouldn't even be voting.

3) Worse are those who denigrate a particular candidate and state over and over how they are not going to vote for such . . . were never going to vote for a person of that party to begin with.

4) If they would vote for a person of that party, if it were a different person . . . then go back to point (2).

I am in a deep blue state, so my vote doesn't matter anyway thus I don't have to cast a vote for one of the worst candidates ever.

WTF???

A piece of string walks into the saloon and walks up to the counter.

The bartender says, "Sorry mate, we don't serve pieces of string in here, get lost."

Upset, the piece of string walks out the door. A sudden thought strikes him. He ties himself in a knot and messes his hair up.

He walks back into the bar and approaches the counter. The bartender says, "Oi, aren't you that piece of string from before...?"

"No," says the piece of string, "I'm a frayed knot."

The Autonomous Republic of Krim
I'm floating the idea of complete independence from reality
and forming my own independent principality
a Grand Duchy maybe...
and have my own crypto-currency

that has an offshore shell company that LEGALLY owns Colombina Coacaine Fields and keeps acquiring new acres
and a fleet of narco submarines
just to get the experience of using them
wouldn't it be classne to only speak German in das underzeeboat

our 10 Krim Note crypto-currency has a picture of a snowy mountain
a zen koan, is that it both is and is NOT a snowy mountain
we are all Taoists "in the breech"

This is for Friday 10-25-2024

270 to win has Kamala up in the popular vote Poll by .5%

Arizona Trump is up by   1.5%
Georgia Trump is up by  1.2%
Nevada Trump is up by   0.3%
North Carolina up by     1.1%
Pennsylvania up by       0.4%
Wisconsin Down by      0.7

If all these were final then the Trump would be the next president of the USA.
THEN the blood would flow like rivers. There would be no accepting the will
of the American people, or conceding the election, or the peaceful transition
of power, there would be wild conspiracies, looting, riots, cities (multiple)
would burn, total mayhem.

Having said all of that, I do not know who will win. I am wrong predicting
election results far too often. I am not wrong about the lefties loosing their
sh!t.

none of yur polls included any of the MILLIONS of illegal immigrants who will vote for Harris
nor does it reflect the "software update" on the Dominion voting machines

i've liquidated everything I can to raise cash and borrowed to the Max
I put it all on Harris to WIN

hope ya enjoy The George Soros Redneck Re-Education Camp for Good Citizenship administed by the Gefilte Fish Social Foundation

I will sharpen the blades myself

Once Upon a Time in Paris,
after consumption of natural Hallucinogens at Place De La Concord
I heard the anguished cries of the aristocrracy
and the dull snap of the guillotine blade
