Russian women want you to be firm with them.  If you give them too many choices, they will see that as a weak man, which turns them off.  When you want something, don't ask her if it is OK.  Say that you want whatever it is, like you expect her to say it is OK.  If it is not, she will tell you.

That took me some getting used to, being an AM from the land of equal rights, political correctness, and sexual harassment lawsuits.  Until I got it down, RW would walk all over me, then get turned off to me, and I could never figure out why.  As soon as  I started to get a little controlling, they did a 180 and came right back to me.

Please note my use of the term "a LITTLE controlling".  Not a lot controlling, just a little.

She could very well see your frustration as self imposed by not being willing to be what they call a strong man; what we call a little controlling.
