Most guys that are married to these women are kinda passive, fun and successful in life.

I do not fit two of those criteria and I think you are totally generalisating ! ...Based on the guys and the partners I've met

That’s the first truthful thing you’ve ever said.  :clapping:

You’re no fun and very unsuccessful.

Don't listen ...nurses and doctors by their natures tend to be caring as are school run mum's who will hook you up with their unmarried friends.  Meet them in a mall lose them in a mall.  Meet them in a bar lose them in a bar.

In belarus and Ukraine I have spoken to plenty of 20s girls who want to live an old fashioned life of caring for a hard working man.  I've dated early 30s with a child.   So as to the realities of dating 20s I'm not sure.  There's plenty of village mum's still giving out the advice my great grandmother gave my grandmother on marriage.

"Most FSU folks who come to USA with medical degree have to virtually complete it again to be able to pass licensing exams."

same with any medical degree, only difference with a foreign medical degree is you have one extra test compared to a domestic school

Krim, you mis-read my message.

It is not just the one extra test the foreigners must take.

It is that they usually have to almost completely repeat their medical coursework.
Talking 3-4 years here.

Check with Muzh who used to post here as his wife was in this situation.

Boe (and others), do you remember the situation for Muzh's wife?

There are some Ukrainian Medical Schools accredited with the USMLE. Graduates from those schools can apply with the USMLE and do not have to take extra course work, but they have to pass 2 or 3 exams THEN get accepted into a Medical Residency spot. I know a man that married such an Ukranian Grad. Passing the exams was hard, but she couldnt get into a residency spot for years

Once they are residents, then States might ask for extra course work to receive a States License. In the person I spoke about, she had to complete 6 months of extra course work, but there were plenty of other States she could have practiced in without extra work

Yes.  She would have had to have taken a few courses, I believe, and do a residency, which was multiple years, and residents work insane hours.  She didn't want to do that, as she wanted a child and family life.  So, Muzh's wife took a medical related job that she's happy in, and has more regular work hours.

In Canada, each province controls regulation of physicians.  I know one of the doctors on the board here.  He said they look at the medical school, how long the physician practiced, what courses they need to upgrade, and then help them find residencies, which are very competitive (with local graduates).  The foreign physician must complete the residency, which does have a sort of pass/fail aspect.

Some schools are not accepted as credible here, and schools in Ukraine are included in that.  It's not because the schools are bad but rather, because so many degrees coming from those schools are fake, and there's no easy way to prove that.  Of course, if a student with a fake degree tries a residency, he/she will fail, meaning someone else lost that opportunity.  Polish degrees are accepted here, there are a lot of Polish physicians here.  My son's physician is from Libya, educated there.

Physicians from US schools, who were board certified in the US (rare here, but it happens), UK physicians, South African physicians are accepted immediately, no need to do a residency.  There are probably other countries I'm missing.

They are telling you what you want to hear.  Relatively few UW in their twenties and thirties don't want to work.  I suspect it's the same in Belarus, but you could ask pitbull, as she is a Belarussian woman.

Boethius I didn't say they didn't want to work.  I meant they are more keen to partner up and have an old style relationship rather than the modern feminist version.

Boethius I've also met plenty of single 20s who love playing aunt to older sisters child.  A major difference to UK is single mothers is belarus tend to be back with their mothers after divorce.  So 3 generations  living together in apartment.  The spoilt brats are dollar funded nor rubel or hyverna funded.

Wow, you did it AGAIN with your generalisations

I have lovely Latvian clients who live in the UK with FOUR dogs and the dogs rule and dog hairs are EVERYWHERE

I know 5 single mothers from Belarus on a friendship level as in I've been to their apartments and met their families and I've socialised with work colleagues in Minsk.  I've also internet dated in Ukraine 2 women.  I don't claim to be an expert .  Can only comment on those I've met.  Oh and one little dog.  I'll try not to generalise msmob.

James

Thanks!

I'm not the chap who makes daft claims re the veracity of info I've posted - then ducks the opportunity to be gracious and admit a mistake on your part ;)

I shared my life with a  Latvian Russian lady for 3 years in Cyprus - She was neither fastidiously messy or tidy - her friend - from another city was v.tidy.

You are prone to making generalised  statements and within weeks admitting you were mistaken

I believe your comment as to tidiness of Latvian Russians was yet another example...

1/ I'm not the one who IS generalising

2/ In the last 17 years I've spent 15 of them sharing my life with eth Russian women... None were intrinsically messy - but all three weren't compulsive cleaners. I have been in apartments / homes in Poland, Belarus, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine and Russia ( 14 cities from Moscow, Piter, Sochi, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Volgograd, Novorossiysk, Krasnodar. etc.,)

3/ That said - most RU folk I know would blitz a house if a new guest was coming and when SC gets on her tidy head - I head for the hills  - as she hates cleaning but suddenly hates a mess ))

So, I've seen the inside off hundreds of eth Russians' places in the FSU and in the west and you ARE generalising

Yes I've been played twice in Ukraine and led a dance 2 out of 2 but the Ukrainian accent is like a sirens call to the rocks

I'll leave Boethius to burst your bubble on this latest of your nonsense on 'accents of Russia/ Ukraine ' ....save to say .. I disagree  - strongly - with your contention ... I think you are repeating someone you respect's 'viewpoint' - rather than fact

Edited to add:

Before we get distracted my main point is a guy of 25 from the USA is quite suitable for f s u dating and should not be dissuaded from doing so.  I wish I had.  MSMOB if you were younger and still actively hunting you would reach the same conclusions.  Let's face it you don't seem to have dated many UK women in the last decade or 2.

MSMOB you get too excited my comment was on Belarusian tidyness.  The Latvian russian males were living bachelor lives when I first met them.  Pizza boxes  on the kitchen table.  Odd empty beer bottle.  Unmown grass and bbqs until 2am.  Now they are all married to belarussians from Minsk their houses are immaculate.

I live next door to a Belarussian couple who moved in here about 2 years ago (mid 40:s), never seen someone that can live in such mess as they are, not dirty, but extremely messy house and frontyard.

so by my calculations, all Belarussians are messy folks - if I used your way of generalizing.
Multitasking means screwing up several things at once.

Just touching on the few that mention the obsessive compulsiveness for cleanliness. OH YES! In fact, that is one of the things I miss. All my clothes were perfectly ironed, house was always spotless, garden was perfect, dinner table was a 5 star restaurant. Whenever we sold a house, the RE Agents would ask what service staged and cleaned the home. They couldn't believe it was one person

Like Krimster said, they get it from their mothers. In fact my wife would call twice a week with her report card on all that was done

To OP - I am old enough to be your mother, my children are close to your age.  Your father is my father's age, so quite a generational divide there.

With respect, I think you are too young to be pursuing this.  Finish your education (if you haven't) and establish a career.  Then go look abroad.
