Yes, since I was, too (though not as a little GIRL ;) ;D).

Gator,

I'll bet she can say "I've got papa wrapped around my little finger!"  :D

Here's a pic of our little "bug" from last month.

Tamara's expression melts my heart.

Sergei - classic young boy. Makes me
reminisce about the days of wagons and stitches.....

You're both blessed.

Ken,
Sergei is losing his baby look and growing into a handsome young lad. Have you talked to him on the phone since he's been in Russia? What does he think about being there?

Simoni,

Yes, I do miss him (and his mom too!), its way too quiet here!

Sohkay,

Yes, I have and he is enjoying the attention there but he misses the cat and the playstation!  ;)

We did manage to reschedule her return date and they will be coming back July 23rd instead of August 28th. She doesn't like it there as much as she used to and feels very out of place.

Now that might prove to be a worthwhile topic. Last June as we posted our
coincidental TR's, Ken, you'll recall about how Elvira got a bit teary-eyed at how
"everyone had forgotten" about her when we were left standing on the sidewalk
alone, uninvited to continue the grad celebration....

But that's a whole 'nudder subject - anybody game?

This thread's about the kids.....  and I'd like to see more proud
mamas and papas posting photos.

Wow! That's a BIG improvement, Ken!  I know it changes your feelings about this summer a lot!

Marina feels the same.  She's tired of the "best city in the world" and told me today that we would only stay there a week and then go to the Black Sea.

A bit of a topic drift...so I'll say in terms of children...after her being away for 3 weeks...and our reunion at the black sea...I may be posting a pic in this section come next April or May, 2008  ;D  LOL

Well, it is official..... Our Basil will enter Stanford University in Palo Alto, California this fall....  :) At seventeen YO....! He graduated from our magnet school for International Baccalaureate honors classes 5th out of nearly 600 seniors.

He was accepted by no less than 7 very good schools!  :) He took Stanford because of the top notch Physics department.

He will, like all students at Stanford, enjoy dorm living!  ;) and I am wondering, what he will think of the winter under Palm trees.....

I am wondering, if dorm rooms are any bigger than I remember... and how all the planned supplies will fit!

Mercy, how excited we were when we arrived to discover who we would live with.....Well, my roommate beccame a pediatrician, married to an OB .....They brought out the last plane load of orphans from Saigon.....A very long time ago.... :)

Please, enjoy every moment with those little and bigger ones....They grow too fast and leave too soon.

My compliments to young Basil.  Stanford is indeed a fine school.  You have every right to be proud of him.

Jet, that smile on Kola's face shows he is having fun. Hmmm.... is it because of the new bike or because school is out for summer?

Both  :D
