Really busy at the mo..had a weeks window and have flown out to Cyprus - an island in the VERY Eastern Med- where I used to live - to be with SC

I lived in Limassol in the ( mainly ) Greek speaking 'south' and I called it Malinki Moscow by the sea .... the Russians call in Limassolgrad


As we walked along the sea front - we encountered more Russian than Greek !! Svetlana was amazed how many shop assistant knew Russian.

We are in the 'north', at the mo - and I've already heard a few Russian speakers ... this part of Cyprus is not a recognised nation ( other than by Turkey ) and it is surreal. One cannot fly direct to here - only via Turkey - or landing in the 'south' and crossing over the UN designated 'green line' between the ethnically separated communities

It is the one place where the Pound Sterling goes a lot further as the 'official' Currency is the Turkish Lira - which has bombed since the 'coup' that wasn't a coup - just an excuse to imprison enemies ...

Sat by the pool dipping Haloumi ( Hellim in TR ) cheese in Hummus ...

I DID explain the Road Trip to Russia was testing a new gadget . We learnt a lot and the first production prototype was made in the same place as the Electronics used in the opening ceremony of the Sochi Winter Olympics .....  You remember the non-opening snowflake.. ?  Hardware and software designed and built in Gloucestershire, UK ) 

Still, I did have a week to relax and read a few books  in pleasant company 



Edited to add : This was late Feb - Madam was complaining' about it being more than 29C today  ( nearly 85F, )   



You should have taken your lady shopping in Cyprus ... SC found a shop and bought this outfit for 13 Turkish Lira - work it out ...

Well a book that thick Mobe surely takes up a lot of time to read and you told us you had a 'few books' which is basically telling me you're a real bookworm so yes - all day!

If he took onboard the confidence and decisive decision making generally attributed to the main characters, he would always win the girl. Probably get a few tips from the descriptive sex scenes also   ..... Smith is my favorite author

Can't be intended for me Mobe as all that stuff was pretty much outlawed & in the past as I was growing up. So Krimster must have meant you

Krimster I hope you are aware that this stuff happened even outside of boarding schools in Mobe's day and 'little know it all's' like Moby would have riled the teacher up good & proper. I doubt if there was one day of Mobe's school life either in England or Ireland where his rear was not sore from all the continual spankings dished out as a result of him constantly telling his teachers that he knew better  LOL
