Bigtime...

As is Trump by not accepting the conclusions of lab reports done in Germany.

Pretty sure Putin is really getting off with all this attention.

Won't say much more as it's pretty crude.

LMAO!

Not sure how Trump have anything to do with this.

If Angela have irrefutable proof in who did it, best she do what’s right and incriminate whoever her government believe who did it. If she can’t, Europe have Interpol, let them get involved as this is a European affair. The US have nothing to do with any of it.

Except that we are merely trying to exploit this poisoning as another reason to stop the Nord Stream 2.   As you might say, perhaps just the dog and pony show.   We (The US) probably shouldn't be trying such time worn tactics though, as they seem to be pointless, and create additional and unnecessary rancor.

What exactly is the US doing with your exploitation statement above pertaining to this poisoning European drama again please? Please expand on that.

Well I recall a few days ago listening to Pompeo once again trying to enlist others in our endless sanctioning of companies working with Russia on the Nord Stream 2.  Of course the backdrop was this poisoning.    It seems his efforts were completely unsuccessful, nevertheless the effort was pointlessly  made.

Old news. Nothing to do with this poisoning drama. Previous administrations were against the pipeline way before Trump.

Try again. Expand on your assertion above.

Trump never said he's not accepting the conclusion of Germany's findings. He did say he wasn't shown the evidence yet and that our intelligence agencies will review the reports. When the Skripals got poisoned in the UK, Trump didn't act within a few days but he did act eventually with two rounds of sanctions on Russia by executive order, no help from Congress. What did Europe do to Russia after they learned they don't have full control over their chemical weapons stockpile? What did Obama and Europe do in Alexander Litvinenko's radioactive poisoning in the UK by the Russian government when in 2014 the Scotland Yard concluded the Russian government was involved? Seems like Trump is the only one that takes action when nations use or lose control of their weapons of mass destruction.

Damned idiots. Leave the US out of this. Let Merkel deal with it on her own, although she's now trying to drag all of Europe to deal with Russia.

Quote
Scholz, Germany’s finance minister, reiterated Merkel’s comments, saying that Germany will work with EU and NATO partners to develop a response to Moscow – and declined to say whether he supported the pipeline project.

Every time the sh!t hits the proverbial fan, the default knee jerk reaction is drag the US into it. Reverse the role, they're a bunch of snobbish, moral-wannabees.

Merkel doesn't have the fortitude to directly deal with Putin on her own.

This isn't a German problem. This is everybody's problem when a nation uses or loses control over their weapons of mass destruction whether it be a pinch of a chemical nerve agent or a nuclear missile. The West isn't crying over Navalny. They are alarmed Russia has used or lost control over weapons of mass destruction these past few years. Will it become more frequent and will greater volumes used in the future? The world needs to send Russia a message their behavior is not going to be tolerated. Trump punished Syria harshly twice for using chemical weapons on civilians and applied sanctions on Russia twice for them using chemical weapons in the UK. I think he's going to side with Merkel on this one. If Russia doesn't like the punishment, they are free to slap reciprocal sanctions on the West.

Nope. It's Germany's problem. She wanted to go to bed with Putin, best she gets use to bending over.

Leave the US, Syria and Timbukto out of their (Europe) affairs.

For a better idea of who poisoned Navalny and why this short documentary he had just finished up in Tomsk before the poisoning might shed some light on the situation

Ah, 'OK'...

Those of us who have been Merkel watching would have picked up that she was hardly reticent to join the nations further sanctioning the GRU away games in Salisbury...

Very interesting video FP! It does lend to reason they 'might' be persons of interests in this matter. I'll share the vid to wifey and see what her take is from what she gets out of her family and friends in Rus.

Add: The vid reminded me of the late 1990s California rolling blackouts involving PG&E and had implicated a firm, Andersen Consulting, and ENRON of corruption. Gray Davis (D) was our governor then, he was implicated in it too and eventually recalled and replaced by Arnold S. The investigation died, IIRC, due to ensuing major events of the early Y2K.

I don't understand what the video says but Navalny is a guy that exposes corruption at ALL levels in Russia. Putin isn't the only guy he criticizes. Regardless, anybody that wants to kill Navalny shouldn't have access to weapons of mass destruction. Russia has a responsibility to lock them up.

The cronyism is blatant and in your face in Tomsk. These folks literally stole public utilities certainly with the blessing and greasing of palms of United Russia in Moscow which as we all know is Putin's cronies. Navalny was laying it out in laymans terms for the upcoming election in hopes of getting them out of office. I'd say and my wife agrees that Navalny is no serious threat to Putin but is a major threat to the cronies in Tomsk. The assassination attempt if it was one, most likely was local.

Turn on the captions. FYI, there is ample WMD in and all around Tomsk. It would be very easy to obtain for anyone with the money

Navalny, is (was) a threat and those stating otherwise are either RU fatalistic ( no one can change things) or simply do not understand the anger ( particularly in Millennials).

Thanks to FP for highlighting the top down corruption endemic from top down in Russia.((

Navalny can now breathe on his own. Swiss and French labs confirm the poison. The OPCW will submit their findings soon.
